Andrea Ward is showing to be a combo of Roy Jones..Mayweather..and heart of Miguel Cotto. This impresses me more and more as I originally thought he'd not last in this tournament.
Green looked old. Had the chance of life time ans showed no ounce of hunger. Hopefully it was ring rust and he bounces back well.
Great fight. _________________ A World Of Boxing

Green just gave up on the championship rounds... I hope that he is just "overtrained," and will put up a better fight with Kessler! _________________

Andre looked great as expected, but let's be real Green isn't on the level of all the guys in the tournamnet. He talks a lot before fights and even more after them when he is making excuses b/c he looked so bad, and when Kessler beats him we'll here more. I would have put Sakio Bika in the tournament instead for sure, because even though he probably wouldn't beat Ward either he would have at least gone after it and made it a fight. Ward and Dirrell is a tough matchup I'm leaning Dirrell right now but that is gonna be a a hard pick when it comes time to choose. _________________ "Why ruin a good day when you can make a bad one worse?"-A Wise Man

Man what a boring ass fight, this was Pacquiao vs Clottey all over again. Ward coming forward and pressuring, Green hardly throwing a punch. _________________ ~w w w . I s l a m w a y . c o m / m o h a m m a d ~

I was bored myself, I was wishing for a better fight since the boxing scene has been husssssssssss. I really don't think to much of Ward still he is the boring fighter of the turney. He just has no.... nevermind. I have a problem with showtime now..... every boxer has 2 fights, 1 at home and 1 on the road. why did Ward get 2 home fights? is Showtime giving ward an edge. (not that it would have changed the out come of last nights fight) but may have did something in the Kessler fight.
All I'm saying is if Ward wins the turney and never has to fight over sea's ??????which he never has????????? I think after the next round (3) they will fight in the boxer with the better records home. (ward fights 2 guys from the US) it gives the 3 US fighters an advantage in the turney. It takes alot for a fighter to make a long trip rather then just going across the country! I smell something fishy. sorry its Sunday _________________

Good Point P. Did you notice all of the fighters who were at home won their fights too? They should make sure each fighter has a home fight and away fight and a neutral fight to make it all fair. Ward having 3 home fights and Abraham looks like he'll have two isn't really cool. _________________ "Why ruin a good day when you can make a bad one worse?"-A Wise Man

Good points, but next he's fighting imo the most talented individual in the tournament, Dirrell. Good match-up but Dirrell gets the decision I think unless the home town judges decide to be asses. _________________ ~w w w . I s l a m w a y . c o m / m o h a m m a d ~

I was at the fight. 13 rows back and I rewatched it off of my DVR. i dont hink it was a boring fight at all. Ward was brilliant in the trenches and Green was the one doing most of the holding. Ward landed thudduibg shots that us who saw it live grimacing at how Green was getting hit flush with uppercuts and over hand rights. Dude has a chin.
As for fighting at home his promoter locked up his first 2 fights at home...good promoting if you ask me. The Dirrell scrap should be in Michigan if I am not mistaken. Even so Dirrell isnt beating Ward...at least I dont think so. Ward is too damn savvy and Dirrell spaces out a bit in the mid to late rounds. His corner is god awful at keeping him focused.....where as Ward has Virgil Hill- who defended his belt something like 20 straight times back when he was champ. Virgil hill gameplans as well as Freddi Roach and Ward sticks to the plan. Great team.
I came away SUPER IMPRESSED and not at all bored...but that's just me. I also think Green beats Kessler in a couple of months. I know I am in the minority on that one but I dont see Kessler bringing anything to the table so long as Green trains properly. _________________ Life is like Boxing.......either everything works or you have to work for everything
