This weather is horrible so I'm refusing to go out. The kids are slobbing out watching TV/playing 3DS etc and I'm on here. The washing machine is on, tumble dryer is on, got washing up to do and clean clothes to sort out.
I can hardly contain my excitement! _________________ Vicky, mum to 5 lovely boys! |

Jo, so glad it wasn't just me up at the crack of dawn to exercise. I did the best part of 10k but I peeled off from my friends so I dont know how much further they went.
Heaving a deep sigh of relief, the paint is going on the walls and I love it now I just need to hope that it will match the bedding (I took the bedding with me when I chose it so it should but I'm paranoid it doesn't dry true to the colour chart )

It has been quite a nice day here...a bit windy but sunny. DH got up with the boys and let me get a few hours extra (and much needed!) sleep then brought me coffee and sausage, bacon, mushrooms and scrambled egg in bed! Then we took the bikes to a local country park and reservoir...after we had all had a cycle together I got to have a bit of a blast through the woods on my own (must do that more often!) while the boys drove to another carpark to go to the fab, big park there. We popped into Lidl on the way back and then DS2 had a nap and I lounged on the sofa drinking wine while DH and DS1 cooked broccoli pasta and garlic bread.
DH has now taken the boys to the park for a bit and I am having an hour to myself on here and reading my GoodFood magazine then I will play with boys for a bit while DH does a few things and gets ready for work tomorrow before we do their bath and hopefully get them asleep by 9pm so we can watch Montalbano. Definitely my idea of a great Sunday and just what I needed after a not so brilliant week! _________________ ~Linz ~

Been a washing/drying kind of day here. Went to mum's this afternoon so she can see the kids cos our usual going for tea once a week thing is likely not going to happen this week due to Sky Living coming to talk to us on our one free night about a documentary (eeeeeek!!)
Mental day tomorrow, cat at the vets for 8:30am so MIL is having to come get the big kids for school early, then midwife at 9:15, friend coming for coffee then Tesco delivery, pick cat up, kids up and husband, then family hair cuts and rainbows/brownies... And eat in the middle somewhere! _________________ Mum to Michael 9, Harriet 7, Evelyn 6 and...

We've just had a powercut. It started with perfect timing just as I had finished cooking so we ate by candle light and then have been playing card games. The power came back on just in time for dh to do hot water bottles so the children can go to bed and read
It's really cold here, we have the fire on, and it has rained ever since about half nine. I haven't dared check the forecast for the rest of the week but I can guess.

I managed a walk. I wanted to do 20 miles but did 10 BUT I did do it in 2 hours and 6 minutes which is a new best for me. I know I can do the distance (26.2 miles) but i hope my poor blistered and bruised feet hold out. _________________ www.justgiving.com/Cathy-Thomson1 |

| Finding it hard to post atm cos can only use phone to access cosy - desktop gets error message and says I'm forbidden. Anyhow, have been away at a family wedding since Fri. Today we got up, swam in hotel pool, got flight home and unpacked. All knackered, everyone else in bed. I'll follow soon. |

Sunday was spent making a paper mache solar system, a roman shield and an african project on water.
My dd1 who is 10 asked me to buy her the Sunday Times so she could read the news.... she read the whole god damn paper.
No sunday lunch as i couldnt be arsed.
Bug checks, baths and early beds.
In a nutshell. _________________
