Can anyone remember the name of these things?

Furry worm things on an invisible string that you pulled through your fingers to make them look like they were alive? They came out in about 1973 ish because we went to London for a couple of days and searched every toy shop for them. I think they were called Squirmels but DH thinks they were Squirbles.

Can you settle the argument?

DS2 got one yesterday at the Sea Life Centre in Blackpool and it set us off reminiscing.
