I've just had 2 elder gentlemen in suits and hats at my door unfortunately they wanted to tell be about Jehovah. I'm afraid I did not encourage any doffing and swiftly sent them on their way. rofl

hehehe- my sisters husband ran down the aisle wearing a fedora and then threw it to his best man as he reached the gazebo (in all fairness his surname is Jones and he's had a lifelong obsession with him- to the extent their oldest son did indeed get Indiana as a middle name Very Happy ) He did make that run to the Indiana Jones theme tune too Laughing - we (Bridesmaids) were all wedged in a side door waiting to make our walk out and were fighting at the door to take a peak as we knew what he was going to do- he got a big cheer from the people on the hotel balconies & lawn who'd come out when they'd realised a wedding was taking place.

As for hats... sadly the remind me far too much of small boy dancers now, Jude wears a varying assortment for his street dance routines and sadly they now scream "Bieber" rather than "Sanatra" at me Confused

If you want to get ahead get a hat Very Happy
I love a man in a hat. Fond of a large brimmed bit of millinery for myself, as it happens. I had a fedora once, and have 3 summer hats currently.
DS2 loves hats too. He has a trilby, a flat cap, a Doctor Who style fez and a straw trilby. He's very dapper.
I think men in hats, regardless of doffing, look marvellous.

DH is a hat wearer too. In fact I seem to have at least as many photographs of him in a hat as not. I don't know about the doffing though, I think he would be shy with a woman he doesn't know. I don't want him to feel nervous that he won't achieve the expected upright angle because performance anxiety could be self-fulfilling.

Dh wears many a cap but is yet to invest in a full on proper hat. I'm thinking a shopping trip is in order.... Although seeing as I was already told off for looking at him "like that" when he got changed the other night, I think a hat may tip me over the edge!
