The weekend is almost upon us and I have another washing mountain to tackle. Feeling rather overwhelmed by the size of what's to put away already and the amount that needs to go through. No getting away from it with 5 of us.
Cooking club with Rubes this afternoon who absolutely loved it last week and wouldn't let me help. She turned out a very impressive cheesecake for a 3yr old.
I need to fit in a bath or shower somewhere and wash my hair.
It's Brownie camp for K tonight, she's so excited. I'm hoping to have mainly packed her stuff and got everything she needs by the time she gets home from school. Might have to do a dash for a small torch as ours seems to have gone astray.
Having a birthday night at a friends tonight, cocktails & mexican, so I may have a sore head tomorrow.
What you up to? _________________

Sewing, sewing, sewing, draping, cutting, fitting, pattern making, sewing, ironing, sewing, making eyelets, sewing...
Oh and washing, drying, sorting.
Should be housework, tidying and decluttering but that somehow always seems to drop off the end of the list.
It sounds as though you have a busy day, SBG - hope it's all as fun as it sounds _________________ Katy

I consttantly drown in laundry! I am pleased it is (sort of) summer soon, so I can hang stuff out more and we can all wear less clothes!
Today I am going for a short swim which DS2 is at gym class.
After that, I have promised him we will make a Lego house.
Nothing out of the ordinary...

Another day off school here! I'm loving this - it's like half term again.
I am looking forward to tomorrow still, as DH will be off work then, it doesn't really feel like the weekend until he is, but he's working on sunday - his first football match.
I'm trying to work through daily lists of small things to get done in the hope that they will make me feel more in control again. Yesterday I didn't get loads done, but did manage to write my birth plans (3 of them lol), sand my bump cast and paint it, get out to vote and phone the HA about our lights.
We gave up on the light thing in the end and took a risk. Knowing that we may well see no electrician until next week it seemed worth the chance! All new bulbs in to play it safe and we have light again
Today I want to:
Buy some flowers to say thank you to the neighbour I don't know at all that helped us out during the flood.
Make, boil and freeze cord ties.
Photo idea I have that needs to be done before I decorate bump cast (if there's light!)
There's more I could put on the list, but I don't want to add too much and get disheartened if I don't manage it I also need to keep on top of all the usual things so it's not a dump here when I have Cosy Mamas visit!
Right now my thoughts are occupied by my pregnant friend who had some spotting this morning. She's only 12 weeks on monday and her first baby died before this stage Waiting for a scan now and feeling scared. _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

I'm off out for a run - attempting 5k today, which will be the furthest I've run since November
Then I need to get some washing on, do some sewing, and then start packing for ds1's Cub camp. Poor boy, last year he went on the wettest weekend of the year and got soaked, this year it looks like he's going to be going with freezing temperatures!
And I need to get some party bag supplies for ds2's party tomorrow!
I need some more hours in the day!! _________________ SAHM to Isla (10), Harvey(9), Callum (7) and Daisy (5)

Elaine, I hope you're friend is ok.
I have Jayden home as he has an inset day. We are going to buy him some jeans later as he keeps growing.
My period is here so I'm feeling grumpy and have the zit from hell on my chin. It's really annoying me. _________________ Vicky, mum to 5 lovely boys! |

Laundry is the bane of my life! Enjoy your cocktails Suzanne..Elaine, I hope your friend is OK.
Done nursery run, put a load of washing on. Got one to fold up. Dd2 is playing with a doll.
I don't think I've had enough sleep, I'm all foggy and not concentrating. Still, I've got a play date with a friend after I get Dd1 from nursery. She looks after her nephew who's inbetween Dd1 & 2 in age so they'll enjoy that.
Back home for Ds to come in who's likely to be in a foul mood as he's just had his 1st puppy love over and done with thanks to people at school calling him for not being academic, it seems every time he meets someone the "clever" kids talk the girl out of seeing him because he isn't bright enough, isn't going anywhere in life because he's in the 3rd academic band.
Unluckily by the time those children mature to realise childhood academic success is not a guarantee of anything Ds will have no confidence left.
Sometimes...I wish we hadn't moved to a "better" area, because nothing gets on my nerves more than ten bob millionaires with tickets on themselves.
Helping out at rainbows tonight, hoping Dds join in a bit. My input is very limited sometimes when they are on a mummy trip (lol) so I'm hoping to be helpful tonight .
Tea is spag bol and corn on the cob. (small amount for me, with 2 corn on the cobs to bulk it out). Dh not home 'til 8pm so keeping everyone busy! _________________ Cameron ~ 11/98

Tidied and hoovered the toy room and lounge. Honor has gone for a nap and I'm still in a quandary as to whether she has the pox or not (see the fb group!)
Hopefully once she wakes I'll start sorting her room and getting all the baby stuff out of the loft so I can sort it all. We were going to leave that til after we moved but now it looks like we'll have her here by the time that happens so I need to at least sort the clothes and storage if not he cot situation.
Oh and we're going to go look at another house tonight as a back up, I think it'll always seem second best to the one we're buying but we need to be sensible and keep our options open.
Big kids are off to their dad's tonight until Monday night so a bit of a break, alto I have my niece on Monday as nursery is closed.... Well I do if this isn't the pox. If it is she's going to have to go elsewhere cos my sister can't take a week off if she catches it and I'll be too big to risk having her or already have a baby eek! _________________ Mum to Michael 9, Harriet 7, Evelyn 6 and...

No school for Josh today, it's an inset day so I'm having a lazy morning. I'm sat in bed reading and Josh is bouncing around the front room on the bouncy hopper he was given for his birthday last week.
I have a friend coming round this adternoon with her daughters for me to take photos of them, the littlest is 7 weeks old(ish) . I WILL be feeling broody afterwards lol! _________________

Well I've tackled the stacks of laundry that was already up there, about to take a load out of the drier and sort that, put the next in the drier. I've also had a nice bath and done my hair. K's bag is mostly packed and I'm having lunch with Ruby-dooby before we go do our cooking. _________________

So why is it that my children can laze around all morning, playing games and watching TV and be fine, yet the moment they are asked to tidy up they suddenly are ALL hungry, thirsty, need the toilet, and hurt themselves or have sudden a headache?
Honestly, bladder timings in this house are amazing. They will ALL need the toilet when there is something to do. And no matter how much they can munch on stuff through the day, it will ALWAYS be lunch time when tidying is called for. _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys
