I've helped Caleb & Reuben pack their bags for the Beaver sleepover. They've got to be at the campsite at 2pm. We haven't got a car and it's 6 miles away, so we're getting the bus halfway and walking the rest. It's through a country park so it's a nice walk, hopefully it won't be too muddy after the rain we had last night!
Then I will walk back with Jayden, Kyle and Barney as I have to take them with me as DH is working. Well, I don't have to take Jayden, but someone needs to carry the extra bags!
Then I have to do the same tomorrow when I pick them up!
What is everyone else up to? _________________ Vicky, mum to 5 lovely boys! |

Dh was out last night so I took dd to gym this morning. Ds is off to a party and I have a half days overtime so we are grabbing a quick lunch before they drop me off early.

Relaxing and tidying
It's an at home weekend and DH is working until 3, so I've dropped Scarlett off at ballet and am now trying to convince the boys to tidy up with me. If they do they'll get to have a non-stroppy mum, see Jasper in his VHC knitted bits (this appeals most to Rowan), and I'll let them have their Lego back.
Frazer is being stubborn, despite being warned that he won't join in with Lego if Rowan does everything
Tomorrow I'm kind of dreading dinner at the inlaws because I've cut out so many things that I'm eating and don't want to seem fussy

I have had my virgin installed - no home is complete without a virgin!! So have TV broadband and a phone line in the new house. I have to go to Tesco as I have no food at all although might do that tomorrow as its already lunchtime and I'm not hungry. Have made up all the kids beds and am sorting out the last bits of my clothes from the move. Heading over to pick up some more furniture for the kids rooms in a bit. Finished reading 50 shades of grey so need to download the next one.
Off to a dinner dance tonight but quite honestly would rather just have a quiet night in.

ah LPG that sucks
drove to Leeds to drop dd2 off at her friend's house, called for a wee at the services on the way home and it was heaving with people going to the Stone Roses gig Hope they don't get too wet! Tonight I'm taking Mum to see Andre Reiu in concert at the cinema, she knows she's going out but not where yet, and I'm hoping my brother doesn't kick off about being on his own when he's only just got out of hospital as it's pretty booked up already so I just booked tickets and they're £15 a pop. It's not something I'd want to go to if I wasn't taking Mum!
Tomorrow it's Holmfirth Duck Race so I'm taking at least one child down to the gala, then dh has decided it's brisket for tea. _________________

Been up town, spot of shopping, parcel picked up, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
Every single room has been done today. Polished, cleaned, scrubbed, buffed, changed all beds, wiped picture rails and light fittings, vacuumed, been through all washing, put it away, sorted odd sock bag out, been on my hands and knees to clean floors and now feel ready to relax a bit, but got two washer loads to do.
Brew first. _________________

Oh we need party going pics.
I've been to work, survived it intact and got home. Ruby was asleep on the floor when I got back. She was burning up again 39C, and is just coming round a bit now. She is currently dipping cheese n onion crisps into hot chocolate, bleurgh.
Big girls have both gone to sleep out. K at sil's who has birthday plans for her involving painting frames and hanging lights. A is at mil's house. I'm glad they're getting something nice each tonight and not being stuck in poorly baby house.
I'm browsing for kettles. My tefal quick cup has died a death so I'm weighing up whether to get a similar one or a normal kettle again. Wish I could go browsing the shops, maybe I will tomorrow if R is a bit better. _________________

I've spent the day at my mum's with my sister. We finally went through my dad's wardrobe and bagged it all up for charity/rag bag/bin. We took things that we wanted and would use (generally fleeces for the stock cars for me and the best retro tie ever for DH).
Then we helped move my mum's tumble drier out to the garage and reorganised the airing cupboard it was kept in so that she could store some things that had been in the loft in there.
Tomorrow my sister, niece and I are doing the race for life in Aberdeen in memory of my dad, so it'll be an early morning for us but we've raised 3 x the amount of sponsorship we'd hoped to so are very chuffed!
Tonight I need to make my back sign for it and then catch an early night. |

Good luck Kelly.
It's been a lazy day for me here, tomorrow we're off into town to see the torch come through- well actually, we'll be there for the torch coming through but we're actually going to see DD2 cheerlead (torch maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity but so is each thing like that my kids do, so if the torch is late I'll miss that to see DD2 instead as she's awesome )
Then it's home and hopefully weeding (I say weeding, it's more like thrashing through rain forest) the back garden as it is now officially taller than Loki - I'd been putting it off with DH finishing up his assignments then it rained, and rained, and rained but it's getting that people are gawking through the back fence like the house has been abandoned so it's time I dealt with it, so think dry thoughts for me!
Week coming up has a farm visit for DS2, a religious buildings visit for DD1, reports coming home, new teachers being announced, DS1 has an additional transfer day (due to SEN) to his middle school, open night at the middle school, "show week" for DD1 so she's rehearsing or performing every night- I'm watching her one night, DH & my parents the next and her aunts on the closing night so good turn out hopefully. _________________ Really is, Just Beka.

I feel like one of the only people in GB that's not fussed about seeing the torch at all Sometimes, when everyone is going on about it, I feel like maybe I should, but then I think, is it really just a person running with a torch? Why do I need a photo of that? I just don't get it
Alistron, need party pics! I wish our charity shops were like that, it's really expensive for anything now.
Kate - yay! Good to see you back online. I've seen your picture on FB and am so envious now, you look absolutley stunning
Trog, I have no idea who that is! Hope you enjoy it though
I really hope Ruby is better soon Suzanne You must be knackered now.
Kelly, lots of luck to you, I hope you smash your targets! _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

Hope Ruby has stayed well Suzanne..
Yesterday we went to see the olympic torch and to the events at the local castle and I'm wrecked. I did far too much..so today I went to my nan and grandads as my mum was thereand we do quite contained stuff at nans...mum did phonics with P and we were watching the girls do a sports day thing which P is obviously practicing at nursery and was happily arranging H where she needed to be.
Just been on the garden most of the day and watched TV. Little ones have had train set out..ds has slept all afternoon as he camped last night at a friends, very uncomfortably.
Dh has just come in from work.and gone upstairs to do more work. Poor bloke.
Friendly at home tommorow for Ds, hope its fit weather for the dds to watch..and they win, obviously _________________ Cameron ~ 11/98
