Inspired by Islander in another post!
Who dares to reveal (and who can remember!) what song was playing when they had their first 'slow' dance? (And dads and uncles and big brothers don't count!)
Mine was (bemoaning the complete lack of originality here ) Three Times a Lady by The Commodores. Groan. . Friday night RC Church youth club in Wandsworth...ah, Mario of the oversized quiff, where are you now...?
luv R xxx
Edited 'cos it got a bit sad... |

Mine was definitely "If you don't know me by now" by Simply Red. It was Saturday May 20th 1991 at the LVth social in the school hall. We were together for the next 5yrs _________________ Sarah, SAHM to Ollie (01/2002), Dom (10/2004) and Antonia (11/2008)

I can't rememeber the song, it must have been wiped from my memory by the trauma of dancing with Anthony Cutts. He probably turned into a real heartthrob, but certainly wasn't when I was 13. It just didn't ever occur to me that you could say no if someone asked you to dance. _________________ http://honestymarketing.co.uk |

Under 16's Boys Club disco, 'Vienna' (which is fine until it got to the increased tempo bit, and then it got a little tricky I seem to recall!!!)

It was 'True' by Spandau Ballet. In a night club in Beckenham. Happy memories .

Mine was to "Hello" by Lionel Ritchie in 1984 - at the time it was no 1 in the charts and everyone was making sick noises about the video, with "blind" woman and the bust she made of LR. Ugh..... |
