White horses was always on in the school holidays if I remember rightly but I never really got into it. I liked Heidi though and does anyone remember Banana Splits (tra-la-laaa, tra-la-la-laaa, one banana, two bananas, three bananas four....) and the Double Deckers (come on board.... come on board with the double deckers....)?

Don't remember White Horses at all.

But do remember Flambards (which I loved), and Heidi, and the Banana Splits and Double Deckers.

And what about Black Beauty? And that Adventures of Robinson Crusoe which they used to show every morning during the summer hols, where the opening sequence included a shot of the waves breaking over the sands?

Ooh, did anyone watch the Swiss Family Robinson? Only saw that a couple of times as I recall but it sticks in the mind for some reason.

Oh, and of course, the Little House on the Prairie.

I remember most of this lot. Little House on the Prairie I had to watch at my cousins house as my parents wouldn't let me watch kids ITV. Laura Inglis was the main character wasn't she, and Nelly Olsen the spoilt girl with the blond braids and the mum who kept the shop.

Does anyone remember the Sunday teatime dramatisations the BBC used to do, Pollyanna, What Katie Did and Ballet Shoes come to mind. I'm sure one of the Heidi series I loved was one of them as well.

And tots programmes. Am I the only one to remember Mary Mungo and Midge, Crystal Tips and Alistair, the Herbs and Hectors House.

As a student we had a flat which we christened the Herb Garden and all the residents and regular visitors had herb names and little charicatures drawn on the wall of them. Makes me cringe now. I was Chamomile and my now dh was Dill the Dog.

I remember all of them!

Why Don't You? was especially fab - I was whistling the theme tune only yesterday Very Happy

Anyone remember Belle and Sebastian (the programme not the band) which was dubbed if I remember rightly. About a boy and his Pyrrenean mountain dog? I remember working out how to play the theme tune on my recorder.... sad, sad, world rofl
