i remember the Double Deckers very well - it was filmed in Elstree so we knew all the outdoor shots, plus mum worked with the red head bloke who was in it and he came round for tea once! Brinsley Forde (think I've spelt it right?) the reggae singer was in it too.

Does anyone remember the Sunday teatime dramatisations the BBC used to do, Pollyanna, What Katie Did and Ballet Shoes come to mind. I'm sure one of the Heidi series I loved was one of them as well.
And tots programmes. Am I the only one to remember Mary Mungo and Midge, Crystal Tips and Alistair, the Herbs and Hectors House.

Yes, I remember Pollyanna! Was that the same as Anne of Green Gables or different? And what about Pippi Longstocking?
And yes, I remember Mary Mungo and Midge, and the Herb Garden. And what about the Woodentops? And of course Mr Ben, Ivor the Engine, and the Clangers.
Also remember Why Don't You, which, as pp said, was really good. Although I always found it ironic (though I didn't know the word at the time) to be watching a TV programme about switching off your telly and doing something else instead. |

When I was little I looked like the tiny girl from Double Deckers.
Champion the Wonder Horse was my school holiday addiction. |

I had a ball exactly the same as Hartley Hare's when I was little - in fact I think my Mum still has it!!
And OMG The Sullivans - feels like only yesterday I was watching it whilst off school sick!!!
What about The Tomorrow People have just watched the opening credits on You Tube (but couldn't seem to cut and paste the link)

| From school holidays I always remember Why Dont You? and the Red Hand Gang. |
Me, my brothers and my cousins used to play the Red Hand Gang! One of my brothers was Frankie, the other was Doc and my cousins were JR and Joanne. There was only 1 girl and as I had the best long t-shirt I got to be Lil Bill! Our dog was Boomer! We used to walk along the street with our arms around each other singing the theme tune!
I remember most of the programmes mentioned - what about The Littlest Hobo, The Adventures of Huck Finn, and Silas - that was always on in the holidays, as was Junior Kickstart!
And as for the Aussie soaps, I loved The Sullivans but my favourite was A Country Practice! |

I love the white horses theme but I din't think I ever watched the full program. I remember so many of those shows but others not at all. I suspect that's because we didn't watch itv as a general rule.

Pinky and Perky?
There's a kids show on at the moment called Koala brothers but I don't know what they are called and I don't remember it being on more than a couple of years ago. |
