I was about 14/15 here, off to Dukes in Chelmsford (kind of place you don't go once you are legally old enough to go). Main problem with this dress was finding knickers that didn't glow more than the dress under UV light!

Oh I have! Much fatter (and to think I was bothered about my weight then...if only I knew the worst was yet to come) now. I so miss having long hair. _________________

You've had 3 kids, woman!! And you're older (sorry!!). And you can grow your hair (although I think it looks nice shorter). |

Thanks, I think I hate my hair short as it's made me look so much older. If it wasn't so unethical and expensive I'd get extensions I hate it so much. _________________

Me at 14/15 (on the right)...
(on the right) Complete with white push-down socks, two pairs for extra wrinkles!!
I've got to show these, mostly because of how slim and flat stomached I was (and I wasn't happy either Tracy and would give anything to be that slim now) and the hair!!
Although this one shows espadrilles and gathered jeans (I was 16 at the time, so circa. 1987) |

We're about same age Danu, and I've got some very similar terrible fashion photos to you - although sadly (ahem) not to hand I am a little disappointed that you've got the collar on your oversized blouse turned down, and why is it not gathered in a then pouched over a big belt? (or, is it? just relooked)
Push down socks were an absolute "must-have" though, and the gathered jeans and espadrilles (we called them spaderillos in our house - spads for short ). We discovered that red devon mud did nothing for those rope soles
Love the hair Thankfully I always had mine short, so I've not got such a mop to laugh at, although when I was about 18 I did sport a rather "tin tin" fringe _________________ Katie

only 2 pairs of socks Danu? i used to regularly wear 3 or 4 pairs for school lol. they didnt get washed that often either if i remember correctly...
i was 12 in 1987, and we all still wore wrinkly socks in 1991 when i left school!
ill have a look at what photos i have, although dont think ill have any from my teenage years as i cant remember ever getting my photo taken! _________________

I think later on I used to scrape my hair up when it was wet, so it was tight (and headachey!) and flat and then the curls tumbled over. I tell you what I'd love to have half the amount of hair now that I had then. Blasted kids, made my hips wider and hair thinner!!
I didn't wear belts, I suspect that was a little too girly for me.
I think the shoes I had on in that first photo would have been copy Pods - remember those? Colourful t-barish sandals/shoes. |

Cymber, those photos are brill. YOu remind me of my older sister.
Me and my sister always laugh about the time she got her first perm, me and my younger sister were so excited that we went to the hairdressers with her then went and got mum out of work to show her!
