Where do you get yours? I need new jeans and some smarter trousers for work. Not being good with sewing, and only being 4'11, petite ranges have made my life sooooo much better lol!

I usually wear Next petite jeans due to a hefty discount thanks to Df's work, but they seem to be made a bit longer now, so even the petite length is a bit long for me .... all my trousers are scuffed and dirty at the bottom from being walked on the floor (doesn't help that they are all hanging off me now thanks to weight loss Very Happy )

So where else does a good petite range? (And does it piss anyone else off that most stores now stock regular length and long length, but not short length?!)

Will be interested in this Jo. I'm another Next petite person. I must have short legs for my height as I'm about 5'3.5". The pair I am wearing right now I have to roll up a couple of times but I have other pairs that are perfect length on me. Sadly the Next slouch jeans are the best cut on me and I haven't found anything similar.

I *think* M&S short leg length is shorter than Next but I have never found a style that suits me.

sainsburys do different leg lengths but I suspect they'd still be too long... If you're losing weight can you get away with girls' sizes??

That is a long distant memory sadly. The best I can manage nowadays is kids shoe sizes.....petite I may be, but boobtastic-ness and curvy-ness of hips/ass, even after weightloss wouldn't allow for girls sizes nowadays *sighs*

M&S makes me shudder a little. But I should have a look....

Jo,

If you're after some new jeans, New Look do short length. I'm 4ft 10in (and a half I think), they're a little long on me. However, they're cheap, so you can get them taken up. The straight legged jeans I bought last week will fold up (wear with ballet pumps).

If your budget can stretch to it, Levi's do a take up service for free on any jeans in the store.

Next have definitely made their petite length longer. I have some from about 5 years ago that fit length wise, but they are far, far too long nowadays.

I haven't been to M&S recently, but the last pair of jeans and combats I bought from there were good length wise Smile - and were surprisingly young and stylish (well, as far as M&S can be).

Oh and Dorothy Perkins also do a petite range, but have only bought from their maternity range recently. But, their maternity short length iirc, is fine.

Tesco have a great Petite range now, lots of smarter trousers, and nice jeans without costing a bomb.

I'll have to look at my nearest Tesco because they didn't have a petite range last I knew...

Just remembered, Top Shop do a reasonable petite range. I just remembered because I have some hand me downs from my sister, lol!

I bought some short jeans in the end, from M & S as they were reasonably priced. However, they were way too long. They were also too big on the waist. I have lost a fair amount of weight but there is no way I am a size 10 yet, but these were a 12 and far too big. So, I guess M & S aren't for me really.

I have just bought some Next 'boyfriend' jeans in a petite 12 and these are a perfect fit. Tiny bit too long, but better than the M & S. Am now thinking the ones I was wearing from there previously were too long because they were hanging off me (size 14). Which has to be a good thing Very Happy

I have looked in both Asda and Tesco recently but struggled to find much in short length. They do have some, but quite sporadic and often in bigger sizes (eg 20) or lots in size 4 bizarrely!! They also look like cheaper jeans that you may have bought from a supermarket... there better quality jeans only came in regular or long length.

I got a pair of Skinny Flare jeans from New Look which I didn't have to take up (yipppeeeee). I'm just about 5ft but have quite short legs (for my height, obviously being 5ft I've got short legs anyway).

I think the style is called Shimmy. I ordered them at the same time as a pair of Hulas but the Hulas were longer and generally larger all over despite both pairs being a 10 petite. Anyhow, the Shimmies are more a slim bootcut than a skinny flare IMO.

They seem decent quality too. I've washed them heaps and they haven't faded, shrunk and they don't bag out too quickly with wear either.
