I've been awake since about 4 and up since 5 - I need conversation!
I've done the dishwasher, tidied as much of the kitchen as is reachable, put a load of new baby terries and muslins (now bright yellow!) in the drier, put the washing machine on a wash to get rid of dye ready for wet towels, been to wee about 5 times and am about to hang up a load of washing from yesterday.
Think I might go back to bed after that.
No cafe for me today and no school for the kids. DH is taking the day off work, I guess we shall see what today brings when the world wakes up _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

Nesting Elaine? ;-)
Did the flood do much damage?
Work as normal for me today, then we've got a roofer coming this afternoon to see if he can locate our leak! (which dh helpfully arranged for the same time as the food shopping delivery). Kira's also got a friend coming for tea. Normal day then _________________ Katie

DS2 in nursery this morning so I am going for a swim. DD1 is excited about a school trip to the local Ginetta factory (builds Ginetta racing cars) and my Dad is excited as he is being a volunteer accompanying adult (just hope he remembers to look out for the kids while drooling over the cars!)
Have hung the washing out, so it *will* be a dry day and I hope to transplant some seedlings on this afternoon. DS2 has some seeds to sow which he got for his birthday so we will hopefully do that this afternoon.

Hope the flood didn't do much damage Elaine, i know it's the last thing you need.
Been up for around an hour, arguing with Connor about nursery, as he finds every excuse in the book not to go. I feel awful, but i know that once he's settled he loves it. And, mainly, i'm really concerned that if he doesn't go, the impact this will have on school etc (not academically, but socially, school refusal etc, and HE-ing is unfortunately not an option at the moment).
At the moment, he's reasonably happy to go in as long as i take him a bit late and stay nearby, so we seem to have reached a compromise. It's really worrying me though the excuses he's thinking up to avoid going As is his eating, and hiding food etc.
Also trying to argue with itison for a refund since the venue won't respond to emails for booking.
Apart from that, i really need to catch up on emails, and sort lots of paperwork today, and attempt to sort the bombsite C created in the living room yesterday, so nothing at all exciting! _________________ Professionally-diagnosed aspie. As opposed to diagnosis-by-internet.

I am drinking coffee (sadly not intraveneously) whilst waiting for the moment I can open the front door and say "Fly, little free spirits of my soul, fly to your sanctuary of enrichment!" to my primary school children. Or similar.
I am also contemplating buying a dress with a poodle on it. Part of me feels this is a necessary addition to my wardrobe. Part of me (admittedly a much smaller, teensy weensy part) feels I need certifying.
Whilst juggling with these weighty contemplations I have just been posed a conundrum by my aforementioned free spirits etc etc. - what do I prefer; sweet or salted/buttered popcorn?
Life. It's all hard decisions, sometimes.
Sigh.

I have to take my car back today but it won't be for long as having another hire in friday till Tuesday so I can make most of kids not being in school on Monday.
I don't have to take it back till 12 so might go get my swimming gear and go swimming this morning. _________________

Today I will be mostly tidying and cleaning (although it's still not too bad!) before my Mum arrives later. I did the school run, expecting to stay and watch ds1's assembly but there had been a communication breakdown (ds's class had been told parents were invited but the other class hadn't) so we weren;t allowed in. Really felt for the people who had taken time off work and were not happy.
Will be taking Dd to FSU at 12 and then on the way home going to have a quick look for a new geocache that was placed last night and still hasn't been found.
Mum is supposed to be here before 3 so she can come with me on the school run but I'm not holding my breath because she is usually several hours late and I have told the children she is hoping to be here for tea so they will have a nice surprise IF she makes it in time!
Should be going to choir tonight but still shattered after the recording last night. I can't believe how tiring it was but I guess we were standing around a lot and concentrating hard. I think the song is being released at the end of the month but I have no idea how it will sound! I know a lot of people aren't going tonight but because we're singing at the May Fayre on Monday I feel like I should be going to practise again - we've been concentrating so hard on the song for recording for the last couple of weeks but we have 3 others to sing on Monday as well and I don't think 2 of them are ready really. _________________ Sarah, SAHM to Ollie (01/2002), Dom (10/2004) and Antonia (11/2008)

Dh and I are both working all day, kids are all at school, then after school club till 5:30 from which they will be picked up by Dh. I will finish here at 6:30, home by 7pm, tea on, kids sorted, and then the bedtime routine.
Might water the plants tonight and look at the seedlings in the greenhouse to see if they are coming on, mop the kitchen floor perhaps, do a few invoices for Dh (If anyone needs a structural engineer, he goes 100% self employed at the end of this month )
My days are never as exciting as yours girls!!!
Just having my first brew and just eaten my breakfast which was supplied by DD1.
Best crack on and see what i need to do today! _________________

I dropped the kids at school and nursery and walked to the bakery. Whilst my appetite is increasing I still can't prepare or cook food wiithout heaving so I combine exercise with food (that's my excuse anyway)
Slept fairly well too although exhausted. No plans for the rest of the day. Getting ds3 from nursery in an hour x _________________ Love Jude X

Sarah the recording sounds exciting,
Elaine that's organised, you're putting me to shame lol.
I had the worst nights sleep ever, P cried on and off all night with what I suspect is from the MMR. They did say it could manifest itself for up to a week..no idea what H's prob is but never settled.
I've missed the school fundraising coffee morning at the children's centre because I was shattered. I feel a bit bad because H is so shy and I feel I'm letting her down by not turning up to her outside socialisation.
Dh is off work today so we're going swimming with the girls in the playtime session at the big pool. Ds is going to Meadowhall with his friend for his friends birthday treat. No plans for the evening.. _________________ Cameron ~ 11/98

I've just done my housework and sorted the laundry. Its endless isn't it? Anyone would think people lived in this house After ten days of being really strict with my flylady routine I am noticing a difference though. I don't feel like I'm fire fighting quite so much.
I've even planned in planting on my seedlings, the problem with that is that I'm rapidly running out of windowsill . I'm going to have to put things in the mini greenhouse outside. The risk of frost must be past surely, I think all the rain is making it seem colder than it actually is.
I need to pop out to buy cinema tickets for me and dd and I'm checking the bees later if its not raining.

Nothing much again. I need to get on with tidying my bedroom - it was literally covered with clothes! So I've sorted out Kyle's old clothes for Caleb & Reuben and their old clothes for Barney and now have 2 bin bags full of baby clothes from 3 month to 2 years! Plus a load of horrible old curtains I don't want. And loads of huge nappies but only about 2 tiny baby nappies for Elaine! (I remember putting them in a bag so think they're in the loft)
Still, DH is pleased that I've finally got round to sorting the mess out! _________________ Vicky, mum to 5 lovely boys! |

Katie, not so much nesting as damage control I think! We had so so many things that got soaked and needed washing before it goes mouldy, not to mention everything that soaked up the flood then got walked on so is now filthy.
Fortunately though, I have been nesting recently, so there was much less stuff on the floor, the laundry basket was only half full, every towel in the house was washed and dried waiting for a water birth so could be put to use. It meant that much less got damaged I think.
I went back to bed eventually, couldn't sleep so stuck my natalhypnotherapy on and am now back to busy! Fourth load of washing in the machine, still more tidying and mopping up needed, I'll leave DH to deal with the landlord phone calls, no one should have certified this place as safe with no stopcock. _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

It's all about teeth here today! Children have a check up after school, horses have one this afternoon!
If I always do them all at the same time every six months, no one gets missed! |

Ah well, didn't find geocache but did find Caz (Littlelibrarylass) looking for it too! Nice surprise - very glad I went to look! It's right by a main road and just too busy to be able to look properly without looking suspicious! _________________ Sarah, SAHM to Ollie (01/2002), Dom (10/2004) and Antonia (11/2008)
