|
|
I've had my mooncup for many, many moons (groan lol) and I noticed at the end of last month that the silicone is beginning to split in a couple of places, so I think it's time for a new one
So, do I go with the tried and tested mooncup, or try another brand? Anyone any experience with the alternatives?
Thanks _________________ Katie

no experience with others, did get myself a new mooncup a month or two ago as I couldn't find my old one and it's what they have in the flesh, so to speak, in town. I did do a much better job of chopping the entire stalk off so it's loads comfier this time around. _________________

Ive just been doing a bit of research - I find my mooncup just doesn't work at all during heavy days (leaks, fills in seconds (my flow is generally quite clotty )) so I use super plus tampax for a couple of days a month. Has anyone had any experience with sea sponges? Do they work well? (reading you can use 2 at a time if necessary!)
Thanks! _________________ Katie

I have a super ginormous http://meluna.eu/?___store=english&___from_store=deutsch one from here. Its my second one, I accidentally scratched the first The first one was an L and this one is an XL and actually that little bit has made a difference in a good way!
I did try sea sponges but what I didn't like about them was that when I pulled it out, and its obvious but I just didn't twig, is that all the blood ran out like water from a bath sponge which made it a bit too messy for using away from home.

Thanks Sally - I'll give the sponges a miss then - that sounds gruesome lol, and something I'd not even considered
I've also gone for a massive xl from MeLuna - I've gone with a basic, in violet! (the only colour they did in that size )
I'm hoping that the bigger cup with help with some of my overfilling and leaking issues. _________________ Katie

I am worryingly excited about finding that there is an XL option. I am still struggling with leakage due to heavy flow. And in my favourite colour!!

And me! I don't know many people that use one that wouldn't need an XL... _________________

my solution...I got a mirena - now I have no AF at all! Weird going from one extreme to another, but it works for me!
Mooncups just didn't work for me - and The Keeper was even worse I loved my clothpads though.

It's arrived! It's so pretty lol! (and it doesn't look scarily massive, thankfully! I'd been panicking it would arrive and be the size of a tea cup!) _________________ Katie

Hope it does you as well as it does me, I really appreciate being able to go until playtime at school without leaking! |
