My youngest leavesa primary on Friday and I feel sad! Not always been smooth sailing but my 3 have all been there since reception. It feels like my parenting journey is moving on and I can do nothing about it
Time to embrace it and move on with the adult /teen yrs (DS1 is 18 in 3 weeks and I am in denial about that too!) |

It's huge steps Paulie, it must be hard to get your head round! It seems big enough to me that my oldest is leaving, but I know what's nothing on what it'll be when Jasper moves on - and I have 11 years to wait for that, I'll be even more attached to the school by then!
I think you deserve a little mummy celebration for the milestone. Just a treat; a bath with posh bubbles and a chocolate, or a coffee shop natter with friends, etc. _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

I'm onto #2 of 5 leaving on Friday, It didn't help my dad pointing out when DS2 is leaving there I'll be waving oldest off to uni.
With us J starting middle school seems so much more nailbiting than DD1, she's always been very independent and J is our vulnerable one, our only SN child and he was our much longed for assisted conception baby, feels so odd for him to be moving on to pre-teen/teen stage.
