Hi all, I hope everyone is well, i will catch up a bit more when i have time.
We flew to Frankfurt, spent a few days in Hamburg, some in Munich and then ended up in Playmobil land lovely weather throughout though a bit hot at times, we all wilt in hot weather. we stayed in youth hostels which worked out very well as good basic food is available for all meals though veggie options are very limited.
sadly the holiday was marred somewhat by my hip and back pain. Just as we were leaving for the airport I twisted and felt something pop in my hip, by the end of the day I was in agony and the next i had lost some sensation in my leg. i struggled on through the days without painkillers and got some volterol for during the night though it wasn't very effective, i spent many hours pacing and crying I was at the out of hours Dr's within an hour of getting home last night. it seems i probably have a slipped disc i have lots of painkillers, an appropriate regime for taking them and have to go to my GP on Monday to get referrals for MRI and Neuro consultant.. Standing is my least painful option lying down is vey sore even on my back with my legs supported and Harriet and Robert are very stressed about truncated breastfeeds.. sitting is mostly sore, turning bending. I am so frustrated with it all. The children are generally being very good and H particularly as i can't pick her up :tears: but just keep saying that they want Mummy to be better..
Am having to pull out of the monster swim which is really gutting _________________ Claire |

Oh no Claire that's awful
Rae's idea sounds good if possible, I'd jump at anything I could to ease it. _________________ Proud owner of: Edward Cullen, Friends, Lost, Ben and Jerrys

That sounds very painful and I suspect you are gutted about the swim. I hope you can get some relief soon? _________________ http://joswimsjocycles.blogspot.com/ |

I'm so sorry that must ahve ruined the holiday for you.
I hope the pain relief kicks in soon and your appointments come as soon as possible.

I'm thinking a float at a hydrotherapy pool might do you the world of good, if you can get it? _________________

Osteopath booked for tomorrow morning. Pain relief working sometimes but looks like every day chores are going to be a hassle though. We are going swimming just now so hopefully i can do some floating about. i need to try driving as I suspect that is going to be bad. i really need to work out what I can do and what I can't.
Just been reading really depressing accounts of people who have had issues for years and have found the medical profession very unhelpful. feeling very down so hopefully the Osteo can give me some good news. _________________ Claire |
