The first contribution to this gallery of lustful lingerings, those who made your puffballs puff and your stilettoes wobble; a chap who was responsible for many a heightened pulse rate (and enormous increases in make-up sales) in his time...

He was sooooo cool....

I liked his Ant People beginnings but by the time he got to Prince Charming I'd gone well off him.

Phwoar!!!!

OMG I remember their first appearance on TOTP, we all talked about it in school the next day. He was my first proper popstar crush too. My walls were covered in posters of him.

He was sooooooooo sexy.

I still love watching the vids when they occasionally are on the telly.

There's an emoticon I would add, but I am far too well brought up for that dahling, lol, so I'll have to make do with this one. Twisted Evil

Ooh, you've made my day with that one Rodders.

Ah yes, remember sitting on tables at school tapping a terrible attempt at the drum stick bit, you know, and dreaming of those cheek bones!! Wanted to go to Paris with him to see the young Parisians ....

I went to see 'Girls on Film' being filmed (my stepmum knew the designer and had to go to Shepperton Studios on business anyway so we dropped in)..and then she saw that 'Prince Charming' was being filmed in the next studio and spotted someone she knew there too..so we snuck in (it was a closed set - so no hangers on allowed)..and met AA and Marco and Diana Dors!!! swoon!!!
Best day of my life (yes it was summer 81 LOL!)

Oooh, I remember him. I must have been about 6 or 7, and he was the first pin up I had. I think they were doing free postcards of the current popstars, and he was the one I liked!! rofl

'Stand and Deliver' is the only one I remember him singing though!

Heather x

ETA the free postcards were likely in cereal packets - forgot to say that!

Ohmygosh!! Yes John Taylor..swoon! He went to the same high school as me,but a few years before.Closest I ever got was seeing some of his artwork.
Recently my dh was despairing of my bestfriend and I as we were oggling photos of Duran Duran her dh had taken at work. Her dh is a musician and works in a recording studio in Manchester.(Duran Duran were up recording some things with Justin Timberlake.)Sadly John Taylor wasn't there, but we got stupidly excited about Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes...who looked lovely, though it was Roger Taylor who had aged best from what we could see.

Adam Ant - saw him in a play in Manchester. Yum.
John Taylor - I remember taking a pic of him to the hairdresser and asking her to make my hair like his. She failed.
Tony Hadley - yuk.

I had a big crush on Paul King, for some unknown reason.
