Never heard of it. Sorry!
But I did go and see U2 at the Manchester Apollo (I think it was) in 1984. Not sure if that is relevant though... |

DH was a regular and knew Steve Strange and Rusty Egan to talk to. I was in awe of him in the sixth form as he would turn up to Art class having rolled in from the clubs without even going home first! I could never get away with it as I looked so young, even plastered with makeup. I did go to Camden Palace a few times though.

3 girls who I worked with used to go to the Blitz club. I remember there was a documntary about people going on the train up from southend to fenchurch street and you could see them all...dressed to the nines! LOL. Karen was one, she was good freinds with Depeche Mode who were from around Basildon, Essex.
I did a t rex party is southend in 81 or 82 and some Blitz kids-types came up from London for it. I had the local cinema show "born to boogie"...ah...those were the days! I arranged the whole thing at 16/17, funny as I arranged everything regarding the disco at the town civic center and had the bar open and they didn't realise I was underage myself to drink! |

The Blitz club was something I only read about in magazines.
The only clubbing I ever did was local, The Venue, The Bang Club, the Pelican Club and the Reggae Disco at St Ks (later to become the Lemon Tree). Nobody from outside Aberdeen could be expected to have heard of them.
I did, however, venture south to the Glastonbury Festival in 1986.
