They were much too rude for me to be allowed to watch them.
But how about Triangle? _________________ http://honestymarketing.co.uk |

that was one of the worst drama series I think I've ever seen! Everyone always looked flipping freezing!

Mum loved Richard Chambelain, so Thornbirds was a must in our house. Mum & dad'd never let me watch Lace (dunno why...) but my gran used to video it for me & we'd sit up & watch it when she came round to babysit or I stayed over at my grandparents . I'll never forget sitting curled up on the settee with gran watching it while drinking Merrydown Vintage Cider |

Oooh I knew that quote straight away!!
It wasn't the TV for me - it was the books!! I devoured Lace & the Thorn Birds when I was about 11. I love love loved the Thorn Birds <sigh>. I think I read it three times straight away. The tv show could only ever disapoint after the book LOL. Entirely inappropriate reading for an 11 year old of course The opening line of Lace disturbed me for ages 'Scrape, scrape, scrape' iirc. <shudder> _________________ Hannah, Mum to 3 girls & 3 boys

Cor, Richard Chamberlain wasn't bad for his age (but truly gorgeous in the 1960's as Dr Kildare).
I vaguely remember seeing Lace on TV but I did read the book (borrowed from a friend) and remember the goldfish scenario most of all
And Triangle They always had the curtains closed if they were filming a scene indoors! I seem to remember Kate O'Mara sunbathing in a bikini on a really cloudy day, and you never saw any passengers!! |

Lace the book, certainly risque....but it had to be read didn't it???
TV would have to be 'Sapphire and Steele' _________________ There is a secret in our culture – it’s not that birth is painful, it’s that women are strong. (Laura Stavoe Harm) |

| Remind me what Lace was about, I'm sure I saw it and read the book but I can't for the life of me remember the story. |
