Ok, so I'm not sure where this should go.
So I'll just say what I gotta say here and then, Havoc dear, could you please tell me where it should go, or just give me a cookie and I'll leave it here.
PARTIALLY USED STORY UP FOR GRABS!!!
Soooo long story shortish, I do. not. have. TIME! for all of my many stories. And this one kinda took a turn for the worst and ended upside down in a bog. If you don't get my drift, it's a might "dirty".
I admit I am a talented romance writer, but this.. this isn't romance I don't know what I did. So I've more or less abandonded the tale. However it's GOOD! I like it, I think I've done a pretty decent job of writing what I got.
So I don't want it to rot away unknown and never being read by anyone but me, and the person who finds my card drive thingie that I know I will loose at one point in time.
Its more or less about saving a dying magical race. The details are huge and many and I just can't explain them all right now without taking a nap first. So if you are interested, say something!! anything, I really don't mind. If you head over to the discussion section the "showing vs telling" thread I believe has a blurb of it.
Tanks!! |

I confess I never understood the concept of "too many ideas." I find that my ideas, at least the ones good enough to be worth writing, generally have to be tracked across the untamed wilderness, battered into submission, and dragged home again, and I sure as heck wouldn't give one up once I'd gone through all that. (This tends to leave them in pretty sorry condition, but that's another issue.) Sure, I might not have time now, but what if I get writer's block in my fifties?
So since I hate to see them go to waste, I'm going to suggest you put this one in the Idea Orphanage down by Plotter's Point. The level of detail you take the time to write up is, of course, up to you. |

It's not so much that I'm giving up. I'm just not interested in finishing it the way it should be.
I like my endless supply of ideas, but a few of them I honestly don't believe should be allowed to roam away from my notebook.
I confused myself when I read that again, so let me clearify: I can write things not romance related. What I meant to say, and should have is, that this IS technically romance, but it's morphed into something horrible and doesn't resemble anything I stand for.
I like my things light and happy and pure, otherwise I'm taken deep down with it and heaven help the poor soul that will have to help me back out of my depression. I know this about me and thus stay away from what will do me harm. Not that I only like happy stuff, there are perfectly fine dark stuff, and I do like a lot of it.. I'm a contradiction I know.
Anyway, I've chosen NOT to finish this for my own personal reasons. Thank you Star, I think I will put this down in the Orphanage. |

WoW.. long time no see. Sorry I've been a little MIA, work has gotten really busy and I hardly ever get online when I'm at home.. so my internet time has been downsized dramatically, it makes me sad.
I hope everythings been doing well over here, I feel bad that I missed the latest 1 hour challenge, I had an idea spring to life just reading all your stuff. I'll probably jot it down for later.
I've kinda pulled back from the writing world due to some, harsh words, oddly not about my writing, but more about how I tell stories. I know it's childish, but so be it, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to. I haven't given up, far from, I actually have been writing, but not for the public eye, not yet, they need to suffer (bwahahahaa...don't roll your eyes, I told you I was childish already, and I know it's weak retirubtion, but I also know this person(s)..)
Anyway, how was that? Have I made new friends? That's ok, I like my old ones best anyway.
Work has slowed down minorly so I'll have some time to check back here a few times a day.
Tata.. |

Ok Smarty People. I need some computer help.
I know, I KNOW I did this once, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again.
I remember once using an entire folder of pictures as my wallpaper/desktop. It would change from picture to picture every 2 hours. I loved it. Well I've had the same wallpaper now for a long time, and I want a change and thought I do that again but I can't figure HOW!
I've googled and keeping seeing that I have to download stuff to do it, but I know I didn't have to last time.
HELP???
I'm at work otherwise I'd download whatever, but Corp doesn't like me downloading things I don't need... |

Most windows-based systems can do this easily.
Right-click on the desktop, hopefully not on an icon or anything. A menu should show up. Look for personalize. Click that. Should be a button on the menu that says desktop background. It should bring up a menu and show available backgrounds. Hit the browse button and find the folder of any images you saved for wallpapers and volia. You should now have access to all those images. |

| Thanks Havoc, I'll try it tomorrow at work. And if it does work, I'll kick myself because that is super simple. |

It should for most windows systems, which I'm gonna assume since they're so common in businesses. Even if it's an older system, just right-clicking on the desktop should lead you to a menu or something that can lead to that. |
