In case anyone ever comes back to this site: any comments on Western Dressage?

I can see it going in a lot of directions, but wouldn't it be cool if it would accept bosals, light-to-no contact, "other" types of gaits; and reward speed as well as controlled extension.

WHAT would its goals -- ideals-- be?

I've seen western dressage done a couple times at some of the horse expos. When it's done well I love it. Since I enjoy riding both western and dressage, I'd like to see western dressage take off, but in the right direction. I could see it perhaps being incorporated with an advanced trail class.
