Hellooooo! Thought I'd post in this topic as it was all sad and lonely...until now! Sign of the times perhaps or no sonographers signed up?

I would like to become a sonographer after doing the Diagnostic Imaging degree. I just wanted to know what level of maths and physics is required for US course of study?

If it's going to be any harder than it already is for me at the mo' then methinks a rethink is in order!!

(I'm considering obstetric and venous US).

Cheers!

Radiography programs require, at a minimum, a high school diploma or the equivalent.

In order to start a career in ultrasound technician, one must complete high school or GED. A good background in math, sciences, English and computer science will be helpful in pursuing the career of an ultrasound technician. The best way to enter this profession is to complete an associate degree in ultrasound technology. There are colleges offering grants scheme for their ultrasound technician students. http://ultrasoundtechschool.org/ultrasound-tech-college-grants-2/ This helps the student in paying the college bills and support the students financially. Hence making the education process easy and accessible to every student.
