|
|
Just going to DR and on all site visits were informed that all in patients come to department on trolleys and patients are not xrayed on beds.
Due to increased likelihood of detector getting damaged.
Unlike our department were a lot of impatients come down on beds. at the moment.
We are meeting with a lot of opposition from the wards, all portering staff are trained in bed-trolley transfers, and most likely our department will supply the trolleys.
Looking for what argument was giving to get support from the wards and also how many others do not have beds coming to the department.
Thank you |

If you dont sent the patient down on a trolley
WE WILL SEND THEM BACK AND NOT XRAY THEM
some times you need to be 100% this is what we will do _________________ No animals were harmed in the production of this image however a large number of electrons were severely inconvenienced |

| Sliding a patient from the bed to a trolley (or vice versa) is potentially an extremely hazardous manual handling manoeuvre, with risks for both nurses performing the procedure and for the patient. It is essential that this is done safely, following best practice guidelines to minimise the risk of injury to nurses or the patient during the procedure. |
