Netanyahu: 'The Nobel Prize is humanity's real Olympics'

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday telephoned Professor Ada Yonath to congratulate her on being awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize for chemistry.

"I feel deeply proud," he said. "The Nobel Prize is humanity's real Olympics."

"Such contributions to science and academia have characterized the Jewish nation and the state of Israel for many years," he added.
