I saw Suzie for the first time last night and was very impressed. She totally took control of what had been been a reasonably timid gig until that point and nailed it!
Definitely someone worth giving an open spot to as she's only done something like 20 gigs and can only get better. Some excellent material in her set with confidence and a nice stage persona to match. Someone I'd reccommend to keep an eye out for. |

And I'll second that emotion
On Saturday night, Suzy took a very lackadasical, low-key audience in Aberdeen and, like a supercharged pocket rocket, blew the roof off
She was getting huge laughs, and rounds of applause, within minutes ... and looked if she could've stayed on for another 20 minutes, easily!
Open-spots aren't supposed to be doing that, are they?

Second all of the above, saw Suzie at her Viv Gee class show last year and thought f**k, another great open spot that's all we need! Have gigged with her a few times and, as has been mentioned she has great material, good stage presence and lots of potential. Even more importantly she is good company on road trips and I can say that without fear of being accused of sexual impropriety _________________ Numquam est erectio vasto |

Just like to say had Susie do Inverurie last night, did well and is a pleasure to be around
For going only a short time, she wont be taking long to develop into a wee gem on the Scottish Comedy Scene x _________________ I wouldn;t but peter wood |

One of the best female acts I have ever seen, her delivery is bullet proof and she takes to the stage like a pro! Her stories of her mother are easiley realated to and I have never seen her do the same swt twice!
She is one to watch as she is going places! _________________ "Once seen never forgotten"

Wow, 2011 has seen two fat, funny, lesbian newbies storm their way from being a "cornflake" open spot to being very dependable opening acts with warmth, charisma and most importantly... jokes.
First there was Scott Gibson, now there is Susie McCabe.
It's nice to finally see another Scottish female comedian taking a leaf out Janey Godley's book and focusing her time on stage on the word comedian and not the words female or lesbian.
I might steal her whisky routine from her. It's about her dad, but it summed me up rather well. _________________ www.hireacomedian.co.uk

Susie is fab! One of the best new people to appear! I'll bet now that if she enters the SCOTY 2012 she will win!

Last night Susie headlined the Kilmarnock Palace Theatre. it was her first time headlining a gig... It will not be her last. She absolutely stormed it.
Susie's on stage persona oozes warmth, self deprication and a wonderful empathy with the audience, oh and she has punchlines, lots of punchlines.
Impressive to think that a year ago she a very wet behind the ears newbie and now she has the ability to headline a gig that has previously been headlined by high calibre acts such as Mark Watson, Brendon Burns, Bruce Morton and Janey Godley.
She's the most exciting new act I've seen Alan Carr. _________________

I saw Susie at a charity night. Wore a "Still Hate Thatcher" T-shirt. Instantly loved her, and only grew more so as her set went on

Totally agree with what everyone has said on this thread. Absolute class act, strong material and saw her compere tonight and she had the whole room in the palm of her hand. Get her booked for your comedy night she could easily open it or close it! _________________ @daveyconnor |
