Problem finally fixed on laptop. My new CPU doesn't install RtCW.
the First installation of RtCW failed due to scretches on the second disc. so i found another second disc.. now I cant install RtCW cause "Setup detected another installation of RtCW"
This is terrible. cause I deleted it from my Configuration Screen > Programs and Parts. deleted the reg file, and everything which is linked to RtCW. and still the same problem comes up.
I'm getting frustrated cause i've done anything possible to solve the prolbem, but can't seem to find out what this one is.
Hope somebody can help me asap! _________________ Slibbery and Lethal

You need to make sure you delete all of it. I know what your saying...when I have a prob, its when I go into my computer and uninstall it that way, I still have to make sure there is nothing in there somewhere.

Windows recovery =)
Format C and evrthing back on.
Maybe...
I use this program Tune up utilities 2007 (2008 is reales also)
This program has differnt tools u can use.
A few tools that might caught youre interest.
TuneUp RegistryDefrag - Corects fysichal entry's in youre registry and defrags it
TuneUp Registry Editor - Helps you edit en search tru registry
TuneUp RegistryCleaner - Removes invalid entry's and references in youre system
When i had my old pc i always tryed to keep it my best way to keep it good running. When i used Tune up utilities the difference was very clear to me and it runed much beter again . It has many more tools like Internet optimizer ,Tune up shredder (deletes files forgood from youre pc)......and more
Site-

U can download a TRAILVERSION. But i never used that . If u know the right place to download for free the whole program then you might be beter of _________________ Anybody who would lose a little liberty to gain a little security will lose both and deserve neither |

hmmm winsht rox
I'd try 1 after another:
1. if you've uninstalled the game, make sure all files are deleted manually - go to the drive you installed it and make sure it's gone
2. use some software like system mechanic or registry cleaner etc - they could clean Windows' Installer cache - I think that's the problem here
3. try reinstalling windows installer,
4. search the registry for id, idsoftware, wolfenstein, rtcw manually and remove everything related (run regedit in your start menu)
5. Ask God to help you operate this shty system or get a Mac - it's true what they say Macs own!
To be honest I think point no 2 will do the trick
Let us know what happens, if it doesn't work we'll think of something else |
