A PREDATORY - KILLER GENE

In brief, Terrorists enjoy killing. We try to analyze the inner mechanism of why Terrorists kill. We look into their backgrounds for answers that will cure. Are they rich, poor, orphaned, deprived? We cannot find a common line that connects the Terrorist and the plain ordinary killer. One answer is that mankind has a Predatory, Killer gene which for some is more dominant, while for others that gene is recessive. Perhaps a geneticist who studies man’s behavior could be more creatively specific.

We humans have always had a hunter instinct which would combine those necessary instincts to fight and survive. ‘Each’ means that there is present an instinct to kill - whether for food, survival or for the sheer enjoyment of killing. It is well known in the animal kingdom of predators who killing for food this is a natural instinct - while among humans, we kill for any number of reasons - mostly for the thrill.

That same natural gene (instinct) seems to be surging ahead in people we call Terrorists. The adrenal surge is like any other drug high. The Terrorists latch onto some theory (excuse) as to why their killing is necessary, which releases all of their locks of restraint against excessive behavior. This release of conscience allows them to plan killing, to kill and then to enjoy the success of killing - totally free of guilt.

The Terrorists have adopted the theme that, what they have done is not only ethically and morally correct, it is even approved of by whatever god they happen to worship. Religion is supposed to play a role in restraining human aggression, but, sometimes religion is turned on its head and instead, encourages murder.

Priest cults over the centuries have reinforced their control over their followers by instructing them to release their restraints by doing the ‘good deed’ of killing all those who do not follow their particular religion. Here again, the gene to murder surges forward and the priest cult themselves now unrestrained, release all others to kill.

Within the religion of Islam, the keys to open doors of restraint comes from the Koran through interpretations of their religious clerics, namely Imams, Ayatollahs and even village Muktars - those who preach actionable hatred in their mosques.

As in medieval Europe, when the village priest sermonized about the death of Jesus and the culpability of the Jews, the peasantry poured out of the Church to rampage through the Jewish ghettoes, killing, raping, looting, burning - in a joyous release from all personal restraints.

These teachings still linger in Christian Europe - somewhat modified to meet the rules of what should be civilized behavior. This restraint is wearing thin, as much of the old Christian hatred of the Jews is ramping up and, strangely, joining with Islam, although Muslims hate Christianity - identifying it as merely an offshoot of Judaism and also an infidel religion.

Underlying these theological divisions is the ‘genetic drug’ to murder - coupled with immediate exoneration. To do good for your god by killing a Jew is a mandate which, once fulfilled, allows you to face your god with what would a stamped passport to enter your particular heaven or paradise.

The signals of hunting or self-defense are delusional triggers of the mind that overcomes the restraints of conscience and are instead committed to murder. The joy of killing is lurking within some of us and all those type individuals need is a rationale which tells them the killing is for a ‘greater good’ and so some of us who are pre-programmed by our ‘genes’, are unleashed.

That man is a predator is of no question. We only became human with a soul when we reached a level of restraint on our aggressive behavior.

Nothing herein suggests that one should restrain himself from self-defense by killing such a predator/terrorists when they come to kill you, your family or to destroy a city.

The Terrorists have given up their humanity to something within them that urges them to kill for a cause - any cause. These are the cutting edge hands-on Terrorists who torture and murder, followed by those who want to murder but, do not have the courage to do it themselves. These are the ‘enablers’, the suppliers of money, arms, training, safe houses who one frequently sees in the U.N., E.U., Arab League, ‘et al’.

For a myriad of reasons, they cheer on and protect the Terrorist movements - often adopting the rationale of the Terrorists, using well-molded language, code words, to give it a better facade.

Enablers are co-conspirators to Terror which puts them on the same level as those who do the actual killing. The Killer Gene is as active within the enablers as it is within the Killers themselves. Whether a nation, a group or an individual, when the Killer Gene is unlocked, released, permitted freedom from its restraints of religion or civilization, it quickly searches for a victim. Whole nations can be induced by political and religious leaders to adopt killing - even to the point of teaching it to their children, in effect, energizing the "Killer Gene".

AWAKENING & TEACHING THE KILLER GENE

Sometimes the Killer Gene awakens in spurts, only to slip back to its latent state. Those bursts are called rage which, when allowed to be carried to extremes, can result in violence or murder. We hear the call for their followers to awaken from the ‘muezzin’ as they call out to their subjects to come to prayer while yelling: "Yitbach al Yehud" (Kill the Jews) in the name of "Allah Akbar" (Allah [their god] is great).

Sometimes one merely dreams vengeance but never acts on it. Terrorists are almost always ready to be triggered into murder as their murderous instincts leap out of a deep reservoir of hate inside them with a pre-prepared thought to commit murder.

Some people are repulsed by violence and murder and have reached a higher level of the spiritual. Others anticipate the rush of planning to kill, stalking the victim(s) and finally, a characteristic joy in the actual violent ending of human life. Then they relive the kill with their cohorts and, when that particular kill no longer excites their minds, they begin to seek out their next victim and the addictive rush of pleasure in the kill.

SOLUTIONS:

Known Terrorists should be either sentenced to Life in prison or simply executed. They will not change and then, if in prison, they could be released. Perhaps someday, geneticists will be able to discern at birth whether a child has a highly dominant predatory Killer Gene which could be modified to eliminate its worst tendencies.

Releasing Terrorist/Murderers into the general public is a crime against the people. Such judges, leader of nations who do this should themselves be imprisoned for each subsequent crime committed by those they turned loose on the public.
