SLOGANS TO REACH THE HEARTS & MINDS

I understand that the defenders of Gush Katif and Northern Samaria have evolved several slogan messages that they hope will reach the hearts and minds of the Police and Soldiers ordered to force evacuation of 10,000 Jewish men, women and children from their homes, farms, schools, businesses, yeshivot, synagogues, community infrastructure and even their dead loved ones in their cemeteries.

May I add another level of thought which may reach deeper into the fear of their unknown future. Even those who do not believe in HaShem have certain fears that rightfully haunt them at times.

People believe in such things as bad luck and illness - pushed by unknown higher forces. Some call it superstition but, they know that their bad actions may cause things to go against them. It might be helpful to those under orders to alert them about other potential dangers to their futures.

Suggested message themes:

"For assaulting Jews, your luck may be bad all the days of your life."

"For forcing Jews from his or her home, you and your family may suffer the same pain."

"For accepting orders to beat Jews, your family may be cursed for generations."

"For severely injuring a Jew, your years may be shortened - or lengthened to live in pain."

"For accepting orders to drag Jews from their homes, your days may turn black and your nights filled with nightmares."

"For forcing Jews from their Land and gifting it to Arab Muslim Terrorists, those Terrorists may visit you and your family."

"For driving Jews out of their homes, you may be fated to NOT find a marriage partner and when you do, she (or he) may scream at you so your life is pure Hell all the days of your life."

"If you have children, they may grow to despise you when they learn that you chose the life of a Jewish Gestapo."

"For despising Jewish settlers or those who believe in HaShem’s promise of the Land of Israel to the Jewish people forever, your friends, relatives and neighbors may despise and shun you as if you are contaminated."

"For dispossessing Jews from their homes and lands, you will share their pain by losing all you possess."

"For abandoning the Land and your fellow Jews, the plagues of incurable disease may find you and yours."

"For being an enemy of HaShem, the natural occurences of earthquakes, drought, storms may always seek you out."

"For all these sins against your own people and HaShem, there will be no World to Come for you and yours."

Let these very real reminders be handed out on small cards - like fortune cookie predictors of bad fortune. Soldiers, Police and their officers are not immune to a reminder of their natural human frailty when they chose the bad luck they bring upon themselves by choice.

Do this - NOT as a threat - but rather as a miztvah to save them from the calamities they may bring upon themselves.
