Well it used to be my heart condition that kept me from attending a meeting and getting to met you people. But after today its embrarassment.
This is what happened when some one can not drive like anything but a moron.
I was parked in the UCD Medical center garage and walked out to see all this. Woman tried to get away but a garage attendant stopped her. |

I reported it to my insurance, they contacted hers. She has not reported it and all I can do now is hurry up and wait. The bad part is, and maybe some of you have been through this, is I am sure the insurance will total it and try to pay me very little making me have to start over and causing me expenses all do to some idiot. I gathered as many reciepts as I could to show what some upgrades costed me. We shall see. |

That really sucks! Sorry to see that! I know its too little too late but "stated value" is the only way to go on these old cars. Good luck with the insurance battle! _________________ 69 Pace Car

Well due to the incredible bad luck I have been having since 05 and since my heart surgery I have not been able to go back to work and earn a single dime. No disabilty or anything. Soooo All I have is PL/ PD. The person that hit it is supose to have insurance. They just have not contacted me yet!
I have done ok in the past with my 84 Z28 and all my receipts but with this one I don't have about $1100 worth. Lost the one for my Hotchkis rear control arms and panhard rod, none for the used posi rear disc, amp, woofers, air induction scoop which were used and/or private party items |

I know it's a little late for you now and I really don't mean to "rub it in," but maybe some others can learn something from this.
I did not insure my 67 on my "regular" auto insurance policy. Instead I did it through Grundy (some people prefer Hagerty or others) at a cost of only $200 per year, and we have an agreed-on value that I will receive if the car is totaled. In fact, they automatically increase the agreed-on value each year without bumping the premium. I hope to never need it, but it's a nice peace of mind for me.
With your car, I really hope you don't get screwed by your insurer. Best of luck to you! |

| I know about show/classic car insurance. Low rates, set value and the low mileage that I can put on the car per year is simple seeing how I have not gotten out much in the last 3.5 years. But I did not get anything like that. Its my fault for not being able to see into the future. If I could have though I would not have parked next to a jackass with jackass insurance. Still waiting for them to now send out an appraiser who never called like he was suppose to on Friday. Unitrin, don't go through a broker that uses Unitrin Specialty or Direct. |

Well finally an adjuster came by and looked at the car. He would not give me a printout of the estimate but said it was over $6,000. Its been a while since I have worked in a body shop but I am thinking that is like a full 40 hour work week and over priced parts!
Now I wait for the screwing to begin. Hopefuly this week, some one will make me an insult to pay for my loss. |

| hey, I had a little fender bender back in Sep. and I still plan on fixing it!! Its just going to take a little time and save up money to get it back to normal. I know how you feel its the worse thing in the world. But I still show up to the meetings and events.Yes its embarrassing, but you do get over it and used to it. Just keep your head up and stay positive. On the other hand it gives you a chance to customize, so if you want to paint a different color you have a good reason, and so on and so forth...if you get my drift.... |
