I had a great time too, in my 2002 Z28 6 speed. My best time was 14.2 at 102 mph. Thanks Casey for the coaching. I'll have to practice my speed shifting for the next time. _________________ Peggy Sue

I had not been out to the Suc Raceway since 1999. But my first night out in my 84 Z28 5.0 (yeah thats right, a 305) I earned myself one of these.
Last race was me and a 69 Chevelle. Same dial in (15.5) so no handicap. I was far enough ahead of the guy I hit the brakes hard before crossing the line so I would not break out and did a 15.5 (whew!). I did no adjustment for the cool night air and such.
My brother was out watching and he said these guys were calling me a loser while I staged. When my brother saw the light in my lane he turned and laughed at them.
Granted they were both Chevrolets, Camaros are just awsome! |
