I believe the guns used in this film are railguns because they don't look like or sound like the lazers from the first film when fired, also the larger weapon looks alot like what railguns look like (I think).
Is it just me who thinks this? |

Hmm.
When I think of "laser" I think of the Moonraker laser or the Imperial blasters from Star Wars. The guns in SST2 don't make a visible beam. |

Yea thats what i was thinking. In the first film the lazer used during training had a long bright and visible beam.
These only have a quick flash when fired. |
