I don't physically train every day.

Strength:
Twice a week, I do power cleans. 2 sets of 10.
Twice a week, same day as power cleans, I beat a tire with a sledge. 15 right hand lead, 15 left hand lead. Pause for a minute and then 15 right, 15 left.

Twice a week, when I don't do the power cleans and sledge, I do a 20 pound kettlebell two hand basic swing until I want to stop.

Cardio:
When it is not freezing, I ride my bike twice a week for fun. I go all out when I want and coast when it feels good. Since it has been freezing and icy, I have been using walking instead, either treadmill or mall walking.

Twice a week, not on days that I bike or walk, I run / walk timed circuits in maile in the privacy of my yard or in the house on the treadmill or without maile at my pleasure around the neighborhood. It just depends on the weather and what time of day I get around to doing it.

Practice:
I usually fight twice a week. After I fought at Festival of Maidens, I fought at a Sunday practice, and then a Tuesday practice. I developed this new face thrust and I did it a lot. I could kill with it and the novelty of victory was unresistable. Anyway that made my elbow HURT bad, so I've been icing it and doing no strength training. I'll probably start again after Val Day. In the meantime, I'm doing cardio, slow work, visualization, scheming, and watching video. Val Day is a ToC, and I'd like to go into it with no injuries beyond my thumb issues.

Lots of slow work to perfect technique. Weight lifting. Walking with a stick.

About all I can say is that mostly I do something most days. Usually one weekend day is trashed by us being out 16+ hours getting to some activity. Sometimes it's both days. Typically, though not lately, we get to practice 2 - 3 times a week. The other days I might do yoga, (though that is really messed up by my knee lately), or heavyhand cardio work or some strength work. It depends on my mood, my energy, what I think I need most and what I've been doing the last few days. I take the dog out several times a day and keep a pell stick by the door to get in a few as I'm going in and out or do some demi-squats as I'm waiting on the dog.

I have been doing pell and foot work nearly everyday as well as walking the dogs and/or doing interval training -- although the elliptical just got fixed, so not much of that has been happening for several weeks.

The goal has also been to do yoga daily, but that has only been happening about three times a week.

I have been fighting pretty consistently 2 to 3 times a week for a couple of months now.

I also do my mental workout -- visulaization and relaxation techniques about 3 times a week.

And I analyze fight video of myself 3 times a week.

I really need to get on losing weight, but I cannot seem to make myself track what I eat -- sigh.

I am not currently dieting. When I do, I use the free stuff at www.fitday.com to log in all my food, even when I cheat and eat candy. It really helps me.

Daily: Slow work with a shortened stick.
Almost daily 2*25 minute walk. Thinking about fighting. Why I do what I do, what I should do, and why. How to explain my thoughts to a third party.

On weekdays I hike (not walk - too many snow drifts for it to qualify) to campus. Roughly a three block trip each way. I'm trying to fit in time to go to the gym and lift again, but homework + preparing to host Coronation is taking up an amazing chunk of time. Need to get upper body strength back, eat more protein, and keep hitting out-of-town practices.

In a normal week I go to the gym three times and do 35 minutes of cardio on an elipical and/or a treadmill. Then I do the circuit of the weight machines.

Lately I've been trying to do some hand exercises when I think of it.

I only seem to have the opportunity to fight about twice a month. There is only one local practice this time of year and it is at the same time as our populace meeting. One week is taken up by another obligation. DH and I switch off the other weeks.

This week was so not normal between the snowpolcalyp and a house full of sick people.

Not trying to be a jerk here, but sheesh.

Yoga? Walking?

You are training for an explosive combat sport where you compete under a significant equipment load. While yoga may be good for stretching, you need explosive power or you will not get anywhere near your potential.

Hill sprints. Power cleans with barbell. Kettlebells. Crossfit stuff. Club-swinging. Sledgehammer work. I have trained over fifty street fighters and people who do competitive combat sports. I have seen almost everything, and tried everything I have ever seen.

Walking is great. Yoga is great. However, these are exercises for regular people who live regular lives. That is not what you are.

Thank you, Vitus-- when you say sledge hammer work -- do you mean just swinging it or what?

I suspect that yoga is fine. You gotta be flexible.

Otherwise? Bam. Something is going to end up pulled or torn.

Hand pain has been the weak link with me doing anything with free weights. Thus the hand exercises. Any suggestions?

What is your hand issue specifically? Are you in PT for it?

With my thumb, I've found therapy putty goes a long way. I keep some at my desk at work to play with. I've got the medium soft red, and it is still pretty challenging for me.

Sir Vitus loaned me his handmaster ball / rubber band thingy too. I know he digs it. I don't know what that is supposed to work, but it didn't really seem to do it for me.

I had a hand helper I modified (padded out the grip to make it wider to force my thumb over).

Google these things for pics.

Actually, now that I can do these basic things, I've started just doing reps of things that give me trouble in real life -- like my expensive dress pants hangers that have these really strong clips you have to squeeze open.
