Are we going to have a meet up?

In years past, TheGirlsClub has met on the pick up field, but, honestly that hasn't worked out as well as it could have on a couple of occasions.

So, are we going to do it?

Honestly, I don't think it's ever really worked out. Need a servant to keep track of all the things one would like to do. I think I've seen somebody every year, but not the same body.

So - who can make it? If so, do you want to try to meet up? If so, would you prefer to meet socially or martially?

I will be there because I am very lucky and it is only about 4 -5 hours from my house.

I'll be at war. I don't think I've ever been on time for our get together. I remembered to go last year because I was cleaned up to go watch the 30 and it was located nearby. I ran into Cunian and Robin then. Maybe not many girlsclub members go to Pennsic?

I'll try to meet up again this year if someone else wants to. I'll also try to make the armour archive gathering.

We might be coming. We haven't worked out the details, yet. Truthfully, I have to admit I am not a big Pennsic fan (stopped going after Pennsic XVII), but TRMs Gleann Abhann aren't going, so we may be tagged to represent the Kingdom.

I am not a person in authority, but I would like to make a proposal.

I would humbly suggest that we meet at three PM, on Wednesday, August 11th, on the pick up field, rain or shine.

I know that the time is up to the actual ladies of TheGirlsClub, but we are getting closer to the wire. We need to be discussing times and dates.

If it's raining, I will bring beer and sit under whatever shelter is handy. I cannot promise to bring ice. If it is raining, I will bring my guitar and hopefully a fiddle player. I will not bring enough beer to get thirty women tipsy. I will bring enough for me and mine, plus a few to share. I suggest that if people are in a beer drinking mood, and it's raining, they bring some themselves.

If it is not raining, I will bring my armor. I will fight every person to my best ability, at tourney level (my physical health varies wildly) unless they tell me to do otherwise for some reason.

You never actually know a fighter until you fight them.

If there is another time that is more convivial, I will not be offended.

If there is something else that I could bring, I am open to hearing suggestions.

That looks like a pretty nice time. Before the Crusader Battle if anyone's doing that. Not in the middle of any very likely tournaments. This wednesday off thing can be handy. Works for me. Besides, I didn't get to give Freiman the buttwhuppin' he so richly deserved last year. (Not that he didn't offer to fight, but my back was hating me very, very much at the time I saw him and I really couldn't.)

I'm gonna make Freiman regret that he ever picked up a stick of rattan in the first place. He's been getting all pallid and out of shape drinking and writing a book and having angst about things. So, probably, if he knows what's good for him, he just won't bring his armour to war at all, 'cause it'll just mean pain - lots of pain.

(Luckily I actually do fight better than I smack talk, 'cause I really suck at smack talk.)
