Okay, so I was noodling around doing pell stuff indoors with a short stick, (half a yardstick), for edge control and such. And I realized that my refridgerator is just about the height you usually find an average, (6' ish), fighter's shield at. And there was a handy box full of trash bags on top of it. So...it turned out that trying to hit the box of trash bags on top of the fridge without whacking the fridge was a pretty decent targeting drill. I haven't actually trashed either kitchen or fridge, but one might want to consider one's momentum and one's implement and one's kitchen ownership status before doing this at home.

I just had the image of a child coming into the kitchen and seeing mom doing this drill.

Or worse yet, and child and her best friend from down the street.

BEAT THAT TRASH! Better not be bad or Mom'll get you next.

No. My kids are happy with it. It's when they copy me that I wish I hadn't been a nutjob.

Hey, I like this drill! I'm using an old one-handed, double-headed axe for the job (a bit heavy, great for slow work). But the refrigerator as pell... you know, it *does* rather resemble some of my opponents... Smile
