I've got the "pattern" figured out and the lacing is much easier than I thought it would be. I looked until I was cross and crosseyed but couldn't fine what I was looking for in the Forum.
Would it be better to fasten it on the side or down the front? I'm not an Armord Combat or Rapier, I'm going for Combat Archer and Seige Machines so I know I can get away with a little less armor. But I also need to be able to dress myself, especially when trying to stuff the chestical units into the armor (which do not fit into the really good sports bras). On a side note I'm seriously trying to figure out how to make my armor with 'cups' since it will be under other garments.

Actually - mine doesn't "fasten" at all. It's a tube, and I slide it on and off like chainmail.
The edges of the lamellar are the places the most stress on the lacings are. Eliminate that, and you eliminate a lot of upkeep. |

That's one answer I did not get from a KM. He suggested if cleavage
lace on the side and it might require help getting laced in but it would not leave a space to catch things. Squish (actually flatten is the word he used) and I can overlap and lace in the front so I can dress myself.

| I tie mine closed on my shield side and can do it myself just fine, just have to twist a little and be able to grab and tie what I can't see particularly well. |

| I have shoulder straps leading to a belt around my waist, and mine buckles at waist height. I need someone else to do it up/undo it for me but if I had a roller buckle there I would be fine, now it's trying to find a roller buckle that is 4" wide that's the issue! |
