This site collects of images of fantasy and scifi women in functional rather than cheesecake armor. It is just cool and made my heart happy. |

Another cool site is http://larsdatter.com/women-in-armor.htm
Medieval artists' conceptions of women in armor, ranging from fanciful to practical. The women are often shown bareheaded or with female headdresses and/or in long gowns/skirts to distinguish them from the male figures in the artwork. Nevertheless, they look fairly formidable. |

I sent in a pic of me and my kit and explained who I was but they didn't post it. I wonder if they would post pics of real women in armor who actually fight if they got a whole bunch. _________________ It's not the most powerful animal that survives. It's the most efficient. -Georges St-Pierre

I submitted an old artwork piece I had commissioned.
I'm a big old gamer geek and for 7 years I played/role-played a female dark elf warrior. during that time I had a number of artwork pieces commissioned for her, this is one of the main ones that was done.

Of all the different reasons, she (Sylexis) is probably the number one reason I am in armor now. Because I wanted to know what it really felt like to be that warrior that I role-played about for years. _________________ Isabel Nugent

Good idea.
My armour is pretty hidden, but I'll see what I can do when my new helm comes in... |

That's awesome because I posted a picture of your kit as *my* favorite "women in reasonable armor" picture on a conversation thread started with the blog . I also added the link for "women in sca armor" gallery. The computer science academia nerds loved it more than the fantasy art

Thanks. I worked pretty hard on it. I just wish I had the time to gear up right now. :\ _________________ It's not the most powerful animal that survives. It's the most efficient. -Georges St-Pierre

I started the Paramedic program 4 weeks ago and I'm in school 2-3 ten hour days plus 2-4 hours of drive time on top of working 72 hours a week. Uuuugh. 48 weeks to go. _________________ It's not the most powerful animal that survives. It's the most efficient. -Georges St-Pierre

I have a print of that first one. A friend gave it to me as a gift.
I love that Halo cosplay at the end. Great! |
