...is an amazing event. All the fighting I could stand plus horsies! Beautiful horsies!
I wasn't even sure I could make it to the event because I didn't get my paycheck til today. But you know what? All I did was ask and I recieved greater bounty than I could have imagined so that I was able to go and fight and enjoy a glorious day. Bryn Gwlad absolutely ROCKS!
I have an incredible technicolor bruise on my left shoulder from a greatsword shot and shortly after that, a single sword shot from my beloved squire brother Wolf. I owe him an asswrap. Maybe two.
My belt pouch was filled to overflowing with favors from the ladies of the gallery. I was even paid in some lovely beads to hit Master Modius on the butt while yelling "boomchickawawa!" The best favors were from my friend Sir Gaston De Clermont's 4 year daughter Zoe, in whose honor we did a pass and from my Baroness who said I inspired her greatly.
I got to spend a little time hanging with Amaris and it was an unqualified pleasure.
I love this game. _________________ Martel le Hardi

While I am too indolent to check my copies of The Chronicle and The Ecclesiastical History of the British People by The Venerable Bede, I am pretty sure that "boomchickawawa!" was the revered war cry of Edward the Great's soldiers driving the Norsemen out of Anglia.
Why such a honored war cry was on the lips of a Norman is beyond me.
Glad you had fun!
