Two days before, I try to make sure my gear is ready. That's because retaping my swords makes my hands sore and my fingers stiff so I don't like doing it the night before.
I don't do any work out the day before. I try to drive to the tourney location if it is not within 2 hours and I try to sleep. Sleep often fails me, so if nothing else, I can at least be in bed and surf the net or watch TV.
I now have a new rule. NEVER eat anything weird for breakfast the day of the tourney. Even if it is the most delicious chocolate chip pancakes in the entire world. _________________ First authorized: 1996 - 2000

| Hydration, hydration, hydration. Good sleep, stretching, make sure my gear is in good shape and I have a new sword taped up. |
