Greetings to all! I have been working as a new fighter for about 18 months of slow work and putting together armour that does not include the words, "slave-girl, bikini," and "chain mail" in the same sentence.
I have just recently become comfortable enough with slow work that I feel I'm ready for the investment $ and the ability to actually fight. I have a couple of physical challenges that I am working with. I am the first one to ask my Physical Therapist how much weight of armour I could wear (and probably the last). Here in Winter's Gate, AK we have about 3 women fighters and are not above opening to pg. 1 of the Armoured Rose and starting there. I have recently been taken on as a Padwan to a trainer. I have only been "on the field" really once, but many birch trees fear my sword...they insulted my clan! and last night, I murdered a thermostat in my bedroom practicing in front of the mirror. I look forward to all the advise and lore that Sword Sisters around the world can offer and am of the opinion that "You fight like a Girl!" is a compliment of the highest order.
P.S I'm also interested in sewing, herbs and outdoor sports but no one usually fights a vine on the field while wearing snow-shoes and holding a thimble.
