It's 18 gauge. Being 18 gauge it is easy to dent. Denting it is wonderful fun. I am going to destroy it. When it is completely trashed, I'm buying a 16 gauge one. You get the idea.

I was gifted a 16g helmet. It is much harder to dent. I probably hit it for about half an hour (spread out over several days) before I hit it hard enough to dent it last night. Then I did it 4 times in a row. I can see now I need to get much stronger to be able to hit that hard on a prolonged basis. I am super sore this morning.

This has been very helpful to me to see how freakin hard I CAN hit and what variables effect how hard I hit. Denting is fun objective feedback that I will use to work out my power issues.

So far, I cannot recommend it more.
