Greetings, all.
I am Syr Garan Steingrimson from the Barony of Glymm Mere in the Kingdom of An Tir. I have been involved in SCA heavy combat since 1975. I was the second person knighted after we became a kingdom. Lady Bolverk Momchilivich was knighted the day after I was!

I have had several squires over the years that are female. Sadly, I have not had the joy of seeing one knighted. Life seems to intrude, but the same can be said for several of my male squires that showed promise.

My interests are heavy combat, Leather and metal work, mead making along with Norse (viking and varangian) and tribal cultures.

Welcome - lots of AnTirians here. I still remember that Crown Tourney and Lady Bolverks's knighting fondly as they were both firsts for me. (I guess I didn't get there until that morning.)

There were three knightings that weekend.
Sir Aweiodian aef Crowansdale was on Saturday, I was Sunday evening and Lady Bolverk was on Monday morning (Labor day weekend).
