Great event. All the civilization you care to pay for, but you can rough it too. Makes both the hotel-types and us cheapskates happy, and easy on the last minute/ill-prepared too.

Our barony got organized and did a carpool down to this so that we fielded 10 at least 4 who couldn't have gone otherwise. There were 5 field battles, 3 resurrection bridge battles and a weird resurrection townish battle. The high point of our day was our unit running down and killing the Midrealm king during the regicide field battle. Cian got her Sharks Tooth for it, (an award for a particularly impressive deed on the field), and the whole unit was commended.

Personally I had a great day. Scored multiple solid kills in several of the field battles. Kept going throughout the res battles. (Though the leg cramps in the third bridge battle were rather special.) Per our king's request that the unbelts all challenge a foreign knight to a pick-up, I picked a fight with Count Henri of Aethelmearc and felt like I did pretty well. I found Jess and said hi. Unfortunately we didn't have time for a proper fighter introduction, (with sticks).

Ursus was there, so plentiful pictures should be forthcoming.

I'm sorry to have missed you later. I went back to where your tent was a couple of times later, but I didn't see you nearby. But then again, I am not entirely sure I would have recognized you out of armour.

This event was an absolute blast.

Yeah, our group went out to dinner at 7 and didn't manage to make it back until 10, and I wasn't sure where or whether to begin looking for you at that point. We'll find each other again, no worries.
