Sport of Kings 2009 – Save the Date!

Sport of Kings: Academy of Armored Combat returns to the Barony of> > Three Mountains August 20-23, 2009, in the Kingsom of An Tir (The site is just outside Portland, Oregon). Sport of Kings is a unique event that only happens every other year and while it is still a long way out the Autocrats just released that the date is secured. This is a great event for learning from lots of different people from all over the known world and if you can, I highly encourage you to come. There are also a couple of cool tournies as well on the Saturday of the event. From what I hear, they already have Sir Trude on board to come and teach next year and in years past, they have had Duke Uther, Duke Paul and HRM Gemini from the West up to teach as well as some of the finest fighters An Tir has to offer (Duke Davin, Duke Sven, Duke Thorin, Sir Octamasades, etc . . .) I would love to see some of you there!

Haven't you taught at this event in the past as well? I'll try to remember to put it on my list since it's only a 7ish hour drive for me!

Yeah, I have taught a couple different types of classes in years past. I forgot that last year Duke Sean came out from Artemesia as well ( I was unable to make it last year -- last minute emergency at work). I don't know whether I will teach in 2009 or not, but unless work throws me a curve ball again, I'm definitely planning on going and pestering as many of my friends around the known world to go as well.

You should really come. We'll feed you, put you up, whatever you need.

Thanks for the plug! I will put more information up as we get closer but for now the date/site is about all we have. More of the infrastructure will flesh out in the next six months or so.
