If you are from Ansteorra please log in. We, I mean the two of us on the list really would like to start conversations with you. I know if you are from Ansteorra you might know of me and sometimes I have a bad rep, but I promise you I am really a bunny rabbit. I am stuck at home with health issues and really want to talk. By the way I am just Willow on the list. The name Willow was given to me when I was 3 days old and when I joined the SCA it stuck. My real name is Lanphier. Someone noted that I was one of the few people in the SCA that their real name was stranger than their given name.

I am afraid I am not going. My local SCA groups are having major demos and I am using my SCA funds to get to them. Tell me about them when you get back. I have heard they are lots of fun.

I am hoping to get to Warlord, but I would have to day trip. My new tent died at Spring Faire 15 minutes after it was put up. It was one of those Walmart coddege tents. The corner pieces shattered.

Duke Inman and Duke Jonathan started training together again in my local area. I went to the fighter practice. It was wonderful. I was fighting with a little targe. This is of course stupid but I am trying to train myself to block better. His Grace Inman gave me some good tips. He and Jonathan say most of the same thing but training under your husband is a pain. He always expects me to understand everything at once. His grace, Duke Inman is one of the best spear fighters I have every seen. I have been over blocking. He showed me how to block a spear with the turn of the wrist. It will take me some effort to undue my bad habit. We worked on foot work. I have been trained well in foot work. People have always said I look good when I fight. My shots are weak.

My next event will most likely be Bordermarch Melees. It's been suggested I make myself known to the Centurions (well, beyond the ones I fight with regularly) and due to a change in my work schedule I can event about once every couple of months. The next Centurion circle is at Autumn Melees so I'm going.

So, short answer is no Seawinds. Smile

It was great fun fighting with you at Harvest Faire. We should do that again soon.
