Yasmin & Yaz Survivors

Hi!

I know that there are several forums on here about hair loss related to Yaz and Yasmin. However, it seems that I might possibly be a unique case and I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience to my own.

I have read that many women have had thinning scalp hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows. I have also read of cases where women lost arm hair and other body hair. But is there anyone who has lost ALL of their hair? And by that, I mean ALL of their scalp hair AND body hair? I have a few hairs left on my head, but for the most part, I have lost all of my hair completely from taking Yaz. In some ways, it's kind of a blessing to not have to shave my legs or underarms! Ha! But it is very disheartening and depressing. I'm wondering if some of my other health concerns (hypothyroidism and PCOS) might be triggering the complete hair loss or maybe I'm just unique. Please let me know if you have had a similar experience. Thanks! Smile

Hmm I haven't heard of such extreme loss before.

But I have definitely lost some hair over Yaz. It seems like my leg hair also grows slower though it is starting to speed up again.

Did you just quit the Yaz or have you been off it for awhile?

The Yaz can affect your hypothyroid and exacerbate it which could cause increased hair loss.
