It will be a yr nxt week that i quit and i feel bad. Really weak, headache and stomachache..just off. I know some have relapses yrs after quitting, but I also thought they were supposed to become more mild. This one is quite severe,maybe not as strong as one last time but still not that manageable. I've had to call in sick a few times..uggghhhh. Best mths off were April and May which were 9th and 10th mth..thought i was in the clear. I didnt even write in my journal those two mths, cuz my symptoms were pretty much gone. June and this mth have been weird. Been doing acupuncture more aggressively again..but after so much time i begin the questioning of the pill again. I've been tested for everything ( I think ) in these moments even after reading everyone's horror stories and my own..I still am baffled and think can i really be this bad, this long from freaking hormones..I am not completely hopeless but my spirit is so weak..i try and hold onto those 2 mths i felt like me again..but will i have more. Starts feeling like i'm ill again, not relapsing...had to vent i'm having a low, low day..thanx for listening all!!

Hi Kellly,

I'm sorry it's been taking this long. I know how frustrating it is. I'm nearly 7 months off and still not having easy ride with it. I've been off work for 7 months now - I just don't want to go back for a week and then have to take two weeks off (or more).

I would recommend reading a book by Bruce Fife 'Healing Crisis' if you haven't already. It has nothing to do with the pill but it explains quite nicely what relapses (healing crisis) are and why they happen. It's a small book and available cheaply on Amazon. I dip in and out of it evertime my mind wants to wander off to the land of 'what ifs'.

Hope this relapse passes quickly now and that is the last one!

Thanx Kat, haven't read that book but heard about it. I guess the relapses make sense, its just the severity of them and length of time i've been off, that starts to worry me. Sorry you're not at your best either..this is such a long drawn out process..guess its painfully teaching me patience.. Mad

So I had one of the best weeks so far. And then, couple of days ago my body just collapsed. I was approaching ovulation so I was expecting some symptoms to pop up but nothing could have prepared me for this. Symptoms I did not have for 9-10 months came back with absolutely overwhelming intensity. I just do not understand anything anymore. All my ovulation signs are gone yet my temperatures are staying low.
But then I realised it’s been exactly one year (almost to a day) since I hit the wall after coming off. This time last year I was ending my second months off and I have fainted on my way to work. It was the beginning of the hardest period that lasted 2 months.
Could my body be remembering that? I sure wish it chose different way to celebrate the anniversary!
Perhaps I’m just fooling myself but I truly have no other explanation!

Kat did you read my first post..YES i had same thing at my yr off mark, really sucked and i had just had two amazing mths before that!! It does always pass but...it still is a mind fuc* when its happening though, especially when you've been doin well...hang in there xo

Thanks Kelly. 'Anniversary' it's only explanation I can find for such old symptoms to come back with such intensity. 14 months off and I had to call an ambulance in last night!!! I cannot even begin to tell you what this does to my soul. Sad

Awww ambulance, what happened? You dont have to tell me what it does to your soul, i know girl i know!! Even when i feel well i see it in my face so much now, it did a number on my skin..my eyes look so aged and tired, hollow..just penetrates everything...but it will begin subsiding more and more and for longer periods...happy heart day
