Hi girls

I haven't posted on here for a while so thought I would share my experience so far. At the end of feb I will have been off Yasmin a year and two months. I used to convince myself that after a year surely I would be completely back to normal, but this isn't the case. Things aren't 100% but they are improving everyday Smile hairloss has decreased massively to the point where I'm not losing any atall, it is still limp and in "recovery stage" though but hey I can deal with that Smile I suffered massively with migraines, I get the odd one every few months when I'm on my period but they are no where near as frequent or as bad!!! I was basically living on painkillers for the first few months post Yasmin. Unfortunately my skin hasn't really improved atall which really gets me down especially as it was always clear before Yasmin. I always have spots now and have some scars, it is also very oily too and just doesnt have the glow that it used to but I'm hoping in time this will come. My random numbness has completely stopped and the pins and needles has decreased (except when I drink alcohol which I find worrying) periods are completely regular now and my mood is alot more settled. I gained alot of weight coming off Yasmin but I am now almost back to my normal weight. Gentle exercise and lots of water helped with this! I feel almost back to my old self Smile

I really hope this post helps people in the early stages of post Yasmin, it honestly gets better girls it just takes patience. I really think time is key here, just try and relax in knowing that it DOES get better. The first few months are hardest but well worth going through to get back to yourself. A few things that have helped me - try and sleep lots, your body needs this time to repair itself, get yourself a good vitamin regime and stick to it-I have taken vit c, b, d, e, calcium magnesium and zinc, I also tried a detox which helped massively! Drink plenty of water and try to avoid caffeine. Try to eat healthier, lots of fruit and veg and cut out refined carbs and sugars. I exercise when I can, half hour a day helped me heaps. Also I swear by yoga, it really destressed me an helped me lose the weight I gained post Yasmin. I suffered from
Severe insomnia for the first 7/8 months after coming off and it really helped with that too. There are some great DVDs or even yoga classes on YouTube check it out. I spent most of the first 6montha post yasmin being very depressed, it was a horrible time but it has got so much better and I can completely relate to those of you going through this now. Time and patience is the key here and just think everyday is one more day off of this poison and your body is one step closer to recovering Smile

I will always be so greatful for this site and everyone on it as it really helped me through some tough times.

K xx

I could definetely say too k4 that depression is my problem right now, aside brain fog and memory. Hard to concentrate at work everyday. Like you said, I take all vitamins that you take and I started to take them a few weeks ago because I was practically falling alseep at work esp. during the afternoon. I take vit c supplement 3 times a day and this has helped tremendously. But, so depressed right now, have not got my period yet and docotr I saw 2 weeks ago aid I should get it this month, I might, so I am praying.
