Yasmin & Yaz Survivors

Hoping someone may be able to help.

I've been taking the pill for 9 years. The last 2 of which have been on Yasmin, and had regular sex. In the last 4 months, everytime I have sex I end up with a bad UTI that needs antibiotics to clear up. I've never had an issue with this in the past, I never even had to pee after sex. My doctor doesn't know why this is going on and is reluctant to refer to a specialist. But I stumbled across this forum and am now wondering if its the Yasmin which has been fine for 2 years. Has anyone even heard of side effects after this amount of time?

Hi Laura,

Yes, for many of us the symptoms crept up over time and that's why it can take time to make the link to the pill.
If I were you, I would stop the pill. You might initially feel worse but eventually body will find its natural balance.

Strange. I had never made the connection before, but I was getting UTI whilst on Yaz as well. Now that I have stopped I don't get them anymore. Shocked

I am so glad I googled now! All of these posts are hitting home. Why arent docs going into detail about the pills they are pushing!
