In a relapse again! Happened to me this time last year too. Has anyone else notices a pattern to their relapses?

Hey Lucia..thats been my pattern. Last yr at this time was my sickest, like feb and march and this march especially has been pretty bad, lot of up and down, long relapse. In my symptoms journal most of my good mths last yr were same good mths this yr and bad mths same so... weird how it cycles back maybe..

I've been in bed last two months - corresponds with the worst time last year.

Hi girls, thanks for that. Glad its not just me but sorry you are suffering too.

It's very odd. My mum suggested that it might have something to do with Vitamin D deficiency as any reserves would be used up after a long winter (at least here in the UK where there isn't much sun anyway!) and apparently Vit D deficiency is common here (there have recently been reports of children with rickets!!) plus we all know Yasmin depletes vitamin levels anyway...not sure but its worth a think about. It's possible for me too as I am pasty pale so tend to wear SPF year round.

Its just so frustrating!

Hey Lucia..hmm interesting, I'm in So. Cali though so i'm not lacking any sun lol..I think we're probably deficient in many things. Think cuz our adrenals are shot, any stress i mean any, can easily cause relapses too.Hooray for us Rolling Eyes keep us posted- Kelly xo

Kelly, Yes you're probably right. I thnk its a combination of things.

I wonder if we will ever truelyy be 'better' as in 'back to how we were before all this'? Or if this is 'it' now?

I have come to accept the new me...mostly....but I still get moments where I feel angry and sad and miss the old me.

I suspect this latest relapse wasn't helped by getting Norovirus a couple of weeks ago - NEVER been so poorly. On a good note - it shifted the final yasmin weight...but I don't recommend it! Wink

Seriously though I try to concentrate on the positive - my weight is back to where I started, my hair is growing in, my skin is much more settled, I'm not as tired as I was when on and just off Yasmin. The relapses are less frequent and I know it will pass.

I have to hang onto that or I'd go nuts!

Hope you all feel better soon.

Hey Lucia, yea for sure a virus alone could bring on a relapse... its alot of stress on the body. Yea i wonder if this is as good as it gets too!! I have def improved but still feel "off" much of the time and relapse often. Emotionally when i'm well i feel unstoppable but when bad it can break me quickly..so up and down. I try not to get upset with myself either way, i mean its been 4 yrs of hell, I'm allowed to lose it here and there..as long as i dont let it consume me. Funny you lost weight..i just noticed in past few mths i gained about 10. I'm usually 115-120 now i'm 130..kinda weird. I didnt eat normally for so long though that i was deathly skinny so dont mind weight much as long as it stabilizes lol..if i'm not feeling sick all the time and can stay active, eat regularly.. everythng else will balance too..hair and skin are better...just the damn head, bladder and moods..keep me posted xo Smile
