Hey guys, I thought I'd add my experience
I decided to stop Yasmin in October 2011 (so around 4 months ago) after being on it for around 5 years (I switched to Yasmin after having probs with other HBC) Being on Yasmin was fine, I found it anti bloating and good for my skin. Though I did report to the Dr heart palps, tight chest and shortness of breath. Anxiety type symptoms.
After breaking up with my bf and hearing of the dangers of Yasmin, I decided to stop taking it.
Since stopping yasmin, the first thing I noticed was the change in bowel movements, perhaps a bit like IBS and bloating. Which then went away, then it was weight gain (which I still have) about 8lbs extra weight, then it was acne followed by hair thinning but extra oily hair. I still have the last 3 symptoms, I now have acne across my shoulders, it's not always red but you can feel the bumps.
I will update again in a couple of months as I'm hoping for much improvement by then.
My plan
- To wear my hair up (to keep the oily hair of my face)
- To take kelp to help my hair growth
- Maybe zinc to help with acne
Tammy
PS. I am interested to know from other people who experienced acne about how long it took to clear up?
OH.... BC definitely suppresses the labido as now I'm off it I have a one track mind (haha) BUT do NOT wanna take BC anymore, what else can I do? x |
