Thanks, Leni! I'm 100% better, I can truly say I have no symptoms left. The biggest help for me was progesterone cream, which I used for 3 months, a lot of magnesium glycinate and a good multivitamin. |

Hey Girls!
I also wanted to add my hopeful story! It took me 2 months after coming off Yasmin to conceive...i heard that when you stop taking it you are actually more fertile
We are now trying afor our next baby and i finished my last pill last Sunday...i will keep you posted!

That is a myth. No one is "more fertile" after coming off any birth control pill. You are a lucky lady, helenvg, and congrats! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!
But seriously, no one gets more fertile just from quitting the BC pill. It's more likely to interfere with fertility.
However, it is possible to get pregnant the first month you quit, or within just a few months after quitting. This tends to happen to women who haven't been on BC for very long (usually a couple months only).
Women who have taken Yaz or Yasmin for years, in particular, tend to have infertility issues, no matter what their age. I'm 28, and am not ovulating due to a very low progesterone level after 9 months off of Yaz, which I took for 5 years, and prior to that Ortho-Tri-Cyclen Lo, then after a break, Alesse for about a year. So for 10 years, with about a year and a few months break, I was on BC pills until quitting Yaz in August 2011. My DH and I have been trying to conceive since then, without any luck.
I just found out I wasn't even ovulating the entire 9 months we've been trying, geez was that a downer. What a waste. I hate myself for ever choosing to take BC pills, especially for so long.
My doc gave me artificial medications to take to try to make me ovulate, and to regulate progesterone levels, but who knows if they will work? Thanks to Yaz, I got a non-cystic PCOS diagnosis. I wonder if I could sue for loss of my fertility? I'd give anything to be pregnant instead, however. |

In theory, it takes 40 to 50 days to resume normal period after eat the Yasmin, but the specific time depends on your personal situation. Yeah, i agree that the drug is definitely do harm to your body, but if you can't affort pregnancy, you have to take it to control baby, additionally, why don't you let your boyfriend(or husband) wear condom? |

The point is nobody actually tells you exactly how harmful the pill can be. Had we known the consequences I am sure many of us would have preferred the condom. |
